yesterday they had fantastic day at Herne bay. Even had a go at catching crabs ( no crabs were hurt and returned to the sea). I would like to thank the staff who make these trips possible and ensure that our residents have these wonderful days. Next week the trip will be Priory to take residents who have not been there. The following week will be picnic in Mote park and weather permitting 28th next visit to Herne bay. Thank you to Maureen, Trudy and John x

Yesterday the trip was to Aylesford priory. They left at 10am and didn't come back till 4pm so they had amazing day. There was very happy memories made. There will be more photos to come. Just a few to start off. We aim for trips every month and where we can support our lovely residents needs to try for those who want to to go out . I also thank the staff that suppourt on the trips and let these amazing people have a great time.

We are back. sorry for the long break I had a admin error which today I finally resolved. Best part is I have no idea how I fixed it but as you all know that's me in a nutshell. Well I will be updating on here now so you can see how your loved ones are. Sadly we have had some passings since last post and as always send love and light to the families. we also have some new residents ( I prefer Cedardale family members as feels more personal.) I would also like to thank the team here for their dedication to Cedardale and make it the happy home it is. I will be putting posts up soon so please keep an eye out xx

A big thank you to Ian and Andrew Venables for the very kind gifts to start us off on sensory. We are looking to help those who need visual interaction. Especially at night. Yesterday was a day to say goodbye to our kind gentle Mark. He was a pleasure to care for and missed. He was very loved and his daughter really did him proud not only in life but also on his final journey. He loved his guinea pigs,chocolates and visits from his son and daughter. Yesterday we had the beautiful Max visit. He came with his owner Karen. Max is a therapy dog and passed his training. A absolutely gorgeous boy who is a huge ball of love and gentleness. We are very honoured to have Karen bring Max to the home and share the love he radiates. To see residents faces light up when they saw him was touching. Its funny to see how straight away they tell him to sit !! before giving him treats. He will be visiting us each month and the dates will be up on the notice board. Was lovely to also see that Karen interacts with the residents and together they make a great team. Even the owner couldn't help but have a fuss. Love and light to all x

I would like to say a huge thank you for all the hard work and effort that was put in today for the BBQ. Wasn’t a lovely sunny day but was still a happy day and was blessed to have a great atmosphere and families who could make it. I’d like to thank all the team who were working and those who came in on their day off to set up and make it special. A big thank you to Tim for cooking the BBQ , Niall for the garden, music and helping in all areas. Dave for being on the bar. Claire, Stef and Maureen ( hardcore) for all their hard work and personal touches. I thank everyone who came. Hope you all enjoyed the day x also thank you to everyone who donated raffle prizes. The money raised will go towards the next project of a sensory project. Thank you all x love and light xx

I really want to share some positive feedback. This is Claire who is our laundry assistant. However will always help with any role in the home. Recently Claire took a resident out shopping for a day and they wanted to go to a salon to have their hair done. So Claire took her to Hair experts and this made the residents day.She came back so happy and lifted her confidence. When I went to the salon I was told about the visit when I asked them and what I was told really touched my heart. They said the lady who came in with the resident was so kind, patient and caring. Often in life we hear negative through the media and experiences of care. I have to say I was so proud of how Claire was to this lady showing her dignity respect patience and genuine love. kindness is the biggest gift any person can give. Especially with a person having dementia. They dont always remember what you said or did but trust me they remember how you made them feel. I am blessed that Cedardale has such kind staff and are a great team. Many go above and beyound and Claire is a true testament to how people should be treated. You and I take for granted shopping or other daily tasks yet we don't know what can happen in life. Faith is that someone like Claire would look after us. So each day be thankful for the smallest things as in others lives these are the biggest things. Love and light to all the Cedardale team . x

I would like to say a massive well done to our Maureen. She has lost a incredible 4 stone 8lb with slimming world and last night became a target member. We are all so proud of her and this is so inspirational . Well done my lovely your a true credit and we are absolutely so pleased for you love and light xx
