New You Therapy Counsellor, Therapist and Coach What is hypnotherapy? When might hypnotherapy be useful?

Hypnotherapy is a form of complementary therapy that utilises the power of positive suggestion to bring about subconscious change to our thoughts, feelings and behaviour. The process itself aims to alter our state of consciousness in a way that relaxes the conscious part of the mind while simultaneously stimulating and focussing the subconscious part. This heightened state of awareness - reached using skilled relaxation techniques - allows the therapist to then make appropriate suggestions. Hypnotherapy is widely endorsed as a treatment for drug and alcohol addiction, anxiety, depression, weight management, fears, phobias aswell as any other challenges that you face on a daily basis.

The worst is over!! You have gone through a lot and you're still here! Despite how you may feel at this time, this experience will not break you. Whatever happened to you does not own you or determine your future. It is an experience that you must choose to grow through and not allow it to shut your life down. No question, this is easier said than done. But you have the power in you to put this experience in your past. Do not allow it to overwhelm your present or dictate how you show up in the world. Pause for a moment to get your head right and resolve to handle this. You know, life is like a roller coaster. Sometimes you are up and sometimes you're down.

Expect things to get better and they will. Do you know who you are? You are more powerful than you give yourself credit for being. In time you will overcome this and become more resilient than you have ever been before. Look at the road ahead and know that tomorrow will be better than today. Pull yourself together and take time to heal. Where your life goes from here is your call. Believe in yourself!

Helping a fellow human being, while it can be inconvenient, has a few humble advantages:

It makes you feel better about yourself;
It connects you with another person, at least for a moment, if not for life;
It improves the life of another, at least a little;
It makes the world a better place, one little step at a time;
And if that kindness is passed on, it can multiply, and multipy.
So take just a few minutes today, and do a little kindness for another person.
It can be something small, or the start of something big.
Ask them to pay it forward.
Put a smile on someone’s face.

Good Morning alll...

Our brain-cells diminish every day , some regenerate , most are lost.
Try to hold on to the ones that really Matter...
The ones that remind you to go to the toilet..
The ones that make you love and respect unconditionally..
The ones that know right from wrong..
The ones that give you goosebumps..
The ones that play the tunes and sing the songs in your head..
The ones that make you enjoy the sound of silence..
The ones that make you blush..
The ones that you're not sure what they're there for but you just know you can't do without them..
The ones that trigger your emotions..
The ones that make you giggly for no apparent reason..
The ones that reason..
The ones that define you as a wonderful human being..
The ones that make you remember your loved ones's birtday !
The ones that dream and the ones that hope..
The ones that translate your sensory inputs..
The ones that are free of judgement..
The ones that keep up the corners of your mouth and make your eyes twinkle..
The ones that release your oxytocins..
The ones that loose inhibitions..
The ones that tolerate and the ones that make you stand up for yourself..
The ones that sense innerbeauty..
The ones that hold on and the ones that know when to let go..
The ones that keep your heart glowing and your blood flowing.......
This is far from complete.

This year’s theme is “Mental Health is a Universal Human Right” a powerful reminder that care, compassion, and support should never be a privilege.

Let’s normalize:

• Checking in on friends without needing a reason
