Winding down after an active class is essential for balancing your sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. I always encourage putting your body under conscious stress by exploring outside your comfort zone in training. However, it’s vital that we learn to drop into child’s pose from time to time and spend quality time winding down with passive stretches and deep breathing.
