Something worth knowing if you or someone you love is on GLP-1 medication like Ozempic, Wegovy, or Mounjaro, or even just trying to lose weight in general.

The scale going down doesn't always mean what we think it means.
Your body weight is made up of fat, muscle, water, and bone. When you lose weight through medication or any other method, the scale can't tell you which of those you're actually losing. Research shows that muscle loss is a very real and often overlooked side effect of GLP-1 drugs.

BMI Is Outdated!

Your doctor still uses a formula invented in the 1830's to assess your health.

Not by a doctor. Not for individuals. By a Belgian mathematician studying population statistics.

BMI has never been updated to tell the difference between fat and muscle. It has no idea where fat is stored in your body. And in 2023 even the American Medical Association admitted it's an imperfect and misleading measure.

Exercise heart rate zones are intensity levels based on a percentage of your maximum heart rate (MHR). They help you train smarter to reach your goals, whether that be fat loss, endurance, speed or peak performance💪

Your MHR❤️ = 220 - your age

Zone 1 is 50-60% of MHR
Zone 2 is 60-70% of MHR
Zone 3 is 70-80% of MHR
Zone 4 is 80-90% of MHR
Zone 5 is 90-100% of MHR

For fat loss, train mostly in Zone 2 to burn fat efficiently, mix in Zone 3 for moderate intensity, and add short Zone 4-5 intervals to boost calorie burn and afterburn🔥

Balance easy, moderate, and hard sessions throughout the week for best results.
