I did it! 🏃🏻‍♀️⭐️

My first trail run done. 10km Petzl night runner - Rivington. Maybe I was a little over ambitious…

I’ll be honest it was a challenge, a really huge one. Off-road is very different in the dark with what felt like gail force winds, ridiculously steep ups and downs and uneven terrain… did I say I’m a little risk averse with footing and poor night vision 😳

If it wasn’t for my fellow runners and the view I’d have seriously struggled to finish (although there was no other way down 😂).

Support looks like this.

The women you who surround you, that lift you up and have your back when you struggle. Often the women in life you don’t expect.

And for this I am extremely grateful 💚

January is a rubbish month for resolutions 😳

I get it, new year, new beginnings, fresh intentions framing the year ahead. But we don’t live in Australia or somewhere warm and sunny (I wish!). It’s cold, and dark outside, Christmas overindulgence has got the better of us and we are still reeling from the stress of a busy December and most probably a cold or flu.

Why punish ourselves even more? Dry January, sugar-free, new gym membership... miserable!

All designed to stress our body even more when what it really needs is nourishment and selfcare to see us gently into the rest of the year.

No wonder the majority of New year resolutions don’t make it past the second week January.

For the rest of January, why not do things differently 🤍

Becoming a Tropic Skincare Ambassador was never something I’d imagined I do. 💫

I love the products myself and with all the work I do with clients around reducing toxins for health and the beneficial impact it has on hormones - I knew Tropic were the only brand that use clinic-proven, organic and naturally-derived ingredients. Right up my street. 😉

Wishing you the happiest of Christmases.
I hope you’re able to savour every mouthful of mince pie, enjoy time with loved ones, and perhaps even maximise your sprout intake on the big day (within reason, obviously 😉).

I also wanted to say a heartfelt thank you for your support throughout 2025. Whether you’ve worked with me directly or simply taken a moment to read my words here, it truly matters and I’m very grateful.

Oh my god, I used to HATE sprouts.🤢

Boiled. Soggy. Green mush.
And if I didn’t finish them? They’d somehow reappear on my plate the next day – Thanks mum!

But now... I can’t get enough of them. 💚 Was it an age thing? Or was it simply that they were terribly cooked? Probably the latter.

Sprouts are actually super easy to prepare and they’re surprisingly supportive for hormones. As part of the brassica family, they contain compounds that help your body process and clear oestrogen more efficiently – which can be helpful during perimenopause and menopause, and also gives your liver a little extra love.

So yes, sprouts can be festive and functional.

Just maybe warn the rest of the family before you superload, or plan a gentle walk afterwards to release any excess wind 🐕💨

Last night I forgot to take a picture… AGAIN! 🙈 Does anyone else do that?

Too busy chatting, enjoying the evening and being a little nervous in front a room full of lovely women, to whip my phone out and ask someone to take a mug shot...

Evidence I was actually there and doing it – maybe I’ll never make it as a social media guru, but at least I’m a designer... alhough AI might have done a slightly better job! 😅

The venue: The Copper Hatch in Urmston (Manchester)
The crowd: a lovely group of women brought together by at her regular monthly Menopause Café.

I had the privilege of chatting about all things nutrition and lifestyle during menopause for 90 minutes. Thank you ladies, for having me! It’s always a pleasure giving women an excuse to go easy on themselves over Christmas, while sharing a few simple changes that can make a real difference.

I’ve been asked back in the new year – hopefully next time I’ll remember the photos! 📸

I always said I wasn’t a runner… 🏃🏻‍♀️

Today I can honestly say that doesn’t apply anymore! A 10km well and truly smashed with a PB at Tatton Park this morning with the girls.

☀️Such a beautiful sunny day, 🎄beautiful scenery and my 2 run buddies at my side & EIona 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️ - who I wouldn’t have got got through the training programme without. Today we chatted, paced ourselves and even managed a fast finish feeling strong 💪🏻

There were hills (which I secretly loved) lots of team support and hot vinto and Christmas snacks from the back of Emma’s car afterwards. 🎅🏼

A perfect way to spend a sunny Christmas Saturday morning. 🤩

Currently feeling very proud of myself… ☺️
