Let me tell you a little story from my market this weekend.

Actually… two little moments that reminded me why every customer matters so much to a small business.

Earlier in the day a lady came to my stall, had a look, then came back later… and then came back again. She treated herself and even picked up a gift for a friend. She had also bought from me before, which honestly means the world.

Later on I realised I was really close to reaching my goal for the day. The other stall holders knew and were cheering me on, even telling their customers to come and see my stall.

It ended up being a very quiet event and we were told we could start packing up early. Just as I was packing away, a lady came over, tasted some honey and had a little chat.

She chose a couple of things and that sale tipped me over my goal.

The other stall holders cheered, I thanked her and explained why everyone had reacted like that. She was so pleased to know the difference her purchase had made.

And that’s the truth about small businesses…

Every purchase matters.
Every comment matters.
Every share matters.
Every follow matters.
