We have recently welcomed to Wyncourt giving the men some much deserved TLC. In care homes most hairdressing facilities are female based so to be able to offer the gents something specifically for them is very heart warming💙

The Dementia Friendly Barbers come on a 4 weekly basis, they bring memorabilia, a juke box to play specific music requested by each resident and of course all things barbering which even includes hot towels, cologne and quality 121 time specifically tailored to the resident ✨✨✨

Valentines 💌❤️❤️‍🔥✨

In traditional Wyncourt style, we celebrated Valentines Day with entertainment from the lovely Lainey. We danced and sang our hearts out♥️

All the residents received a valentines rose 🌹 and we had a romantic themed meal with a glass of fizz or 2 🥂which was a perfect way to complete the celebrations.

We had a lovely visit from the year 5 children from for an art class 🖼️

The children were absolutely amazing, very talented and unbelievably well mannered. They spoke with the residents and drew them, the art they produced was very talented and admirable🤩

The session was very wholesome and we look forward to another visit in the future. Thank you again from all of us here at Wyncourt 🤍🤍

Our lucky Roger was gifted some new bits from he received a new hat, scarf, programmes and some other bits 🩵

One of our ladies visitors son is a cameraman at the etihad and she arranged for this lovely gift to happen✨

Whether your a red or blue you can see how happy this made this handsome man and he as well as us here at Wyncourt are very very grateful 🩵🩵🩵

We have welcomed the lovely Aoife from Rise to come on a monthly basis to do sports exercises with the residents. The sessions consist of 3 different sports, a quiz (sports related) & some friendly competition (some may be a little more competitive but there no judgment🤣)

The residents really enjoy these sessions and we are very proud of how much they push themselves and achieve movements they no longer believed they could ✨

These sessions are very wholesome and very fun to be part of, also we may have friendly competition but everyone is a winner at the end of the sessions🏆

At Wyncourt, dignity is more than a feeling… It’s a core value that shapes every part of our care. To celebrate & reflect on what dignity truly means, the residents and staff of Wyncourt came together to create a Dignity Tree 🌳✨

Each resident & Member of Staff have added their personal touch to the Muriel to represent how everyone is important and the values of dignity are respected to and by all. 🤍💙
