Exciting news... 👀👀
Coming soon. Mikeys Wish Foundation🤞the application is in and with the Charity Commission!

Joining Communication Station with Mikey's Wish - Verbal Dyspraxia Awareness and a fantastic team of trustees we hope to continue to raise the awareness of Childhood Apraxia of Speech & other Speech Language & Communication needs.
To continue to advocate for government to invest in SLT.
To continue to support families.
To continue to fund Speech and language assessments for children who cannot access services locally.

To continue to raise the importance of communication 🙌
And a whole lot more.

All purchases of the Communication Station boards & posters will be directly helping the charity.

This will be our 2nd year but 3rd big event in the world of Childhood Apraxia of Speech.

We have some amazing people attending and the day will be all amount meeting other families with CAS or other SLCN.
There will be lots of proffesionals available on the day to speak with. Lots of Speech Therapists specialising in SSDs, AAC, Autism.

We will be in Manchester this year and would love to meet some of you ❤️

A huge thank you to Georgia from Communication Station for sponsoring the event on Saturday 1st June with her kind donation of £100.

Also thank you to Georgia Wilson and Yas Firth for organising yesterday’s game to win the Man City football shirt signed by Jack Grealish. To everyone who got involved, thank you as it raised an amazing £400. Congratulations to the winner, Joanne who picked Morecambe.

Finally, thank you to Carl Hemming from Ginger Estate Agents for his kind donation of £100 through Balsall Common Lions Club.

All this money raised will go towards supporting children, teens and adults with SLCN.

Whilst we are in the back ground advocating for all SLCN and with Mikey's Wish - Verbal Dyspraxia Awareness Invest In SLT petition ongoing we do need to keep raising the awareness and importance of all SLCN.

I have been quiet recently, but I'm back and ready to raise more funds in order to pay for childrens assessments for children that are struggling to access services 💙🫶

We want the Government to increase investment in speech and language therapy so people of all ages - babies, children and young people, and adults - with communication and/or swallowing needs can get the support they and their families need.

Thousands of people across the country with communication and/or swallowing needs require timely access to speech and language therapy.

But for too long, there has not been enough funding for speech and language therapy services. Nor has the current and future speech and language therapy workforce been properly planned for.

We are calling on the Government to increase investment in speech and language therapy, so people can get the support they and their families need.
