University of Manchester TV Speech Study Hearing research study on speech used in TV programmes in collaboration with the BBC

ADULT HEARING AID USERS needed for a University of Manchester research study on the accessibility of speech in television and broadcast.

WHO?
All volunteers must be:
- 50-75 years old
- native English speakers
- with no history of neurological or speech disorders
- with normal, or corrected-to-normal vision.
- regular hearing aid users (both ears)
Volunteers will need to wear their own hearing aids during the study.

WHERE?
The study will take place in 1 session (approximately 1.5 hrs) held at the Manchester Centre for Audiology and Deafness (ManCAD), Ellen Wilkinson Building, University of Manchester, Oxford Road, M13 9PL

This project has been approved by the University of Manchester’s Research Ethics Committee [UREC reference 2020-8848-13259].
