🌟 Join us for an epic Ecstatic Dance evening tomorrow for our last regular weekly dance! 🌟

This dance has been our vibrant community's heartbeat, a place where movement is medicine for the mind, body, and soul. 🌈✨ We've shared countless moments of joy, connection, and transformation on the dance floor.

As we bid adieu to our weekly gatherings for the foreseeable future, we aim to make this final dance an extraordinary and magical experience—one that echoes with the energy and love of our amazing community. 🎶💃 Let's create a heartwarming send-off until we can dance together again at the Birch Community Centre.

This last gathering is a celebration of all that has been and all that will be. It's a time to dance in gratitude for every soul that has graced our dance floor and contributed to this beautiful journey. 🙏❤️

But don't fret! While our weekly dances will pause for now, stay tuned for updates about our future, less regular dances. We're already excited about the magic and joy we'll continue to share in a new rhythm.

DJ Rae will be delighting us with one of her uplifting, reality bending, shamanic infused sets. Her journeys take dancers to deeper layers of embodiment. She weaves tribal rhythms, organic textures and electronic beats as a potent combo for great inner discovery and outward expression 🌟🌿

Lulu Powers is coming to The Birch this Sunday as our Guest DJ 🧡

Lulu has been a firm supported of Sun Dance since the early days, a regular participant to our dances and the co-founder of Born Free, a weekly sober dance night and multiple amazing dance events in Manchester, also bringing movement as medicine to our communities.

DJ Lu’s biggest passion in life is Dance. She KNOWS, through direct experience, how powerful a healing tool the Dance is, and she weaves magical sets together to support people to drop deep into their body, to help move any stagnant blocks preventing them from feeling the freedom they already are.

Lulu is on fire….. she is charismatic and playful and loves life to the full. She sees the best and full potential in everyone and wants to share her medicine far and wide. 💛✨

No need to pre-book, rock up at the door, cash or card on a sliding scale £8/£10/£12/£14 😊

Optional Cacao £3 per cup.

Ella will also be there selling the magnificent Balls of Love. These protein balls are handmade, nutritious, vegan, gluten-free, low fat & sustainably sourced and most importantly filled with Love 💕

Doors open at 6.30, we begin our journey at 7. Door will lock at 7 and no further participants are allowed after this time, to keep a safe container.

The event includes an opening circle, with a guided warm up leading into the dance and a sound bath at the end to rest and integrate the dance journey.

Are you ready to move, release, express and refresh with us this Sun♥Day?

We create a welcoming and loving space for all humans, to connect in community and weave magic. Co-creating a container in which we drop into our hearts, dancing with our emotions, expressing our dreams and desires through movement.

This week we have Rae on the decks, her sets take us on a shamanic journey that really support our dropping in deeper into the realms of body wisdom, emotional and nervous regulation, weaved and guided through tribal electronic rhythms and organic textures. An experience like no other 💜

We have created a new exchange structure in which we hope to support all beings to be able to participate in our weekly dances. This is a sliding scale, and you can choose what to pay according to your circumstances:

£14 Abundant
£12 Standard
£10 Low Wage
£8 Unwaged or Student

We also offer optional Cacao for £3 per cup. This yummy, heartful medicine truly supports and guide us on the dancefloor, allowing our minds to drop into the heart and body.

Our doors open at 6.30pm for a prompt start at 7 at The Birch Community Centre in Rusholme.

We close our session with a relaxing sound bath, that really supports the integration of the experience.

Hello beautiful dancing family. We understand that times are difficult at the moment. The cost of living rising, and many factors affecting us all, economically. With this in mind, we have decided to change our ticket exchange structure into a sliding scale, hoping in this way we can support each other and make our beautiful dance events more accessible, whilst also ensuring we are able to cover our costs. Please read the below:

Fair Usage of Sliding Scale Tickets 🎫

At our event, we believe in inclusivity and making the experience accessible to everyone. Our sliding scale ticket pricing reflects this commitment, allowing you to choose a ticket that aligns with your financial situation. Here's a breakdown of our sliding scale ticket options:

🌟 Abundant (£14):
For those who have the means and are willing to contribute a little extra to support not only their experience but also the participation of others. By choosing this ticket, you're helping create a welcoming space for all.

🎟️ Standard (£12):
The standard ticket is for those who can comfortably afford the regular ticket price. It's a fair rate that covers the cost of the event while ensuring accessibility for a broad audience.

💼 Low Wage (£10):
We understand that financial situations vary. The low wage ticket is designed for individuals with a moderate income. It provides an opportunity to participate without straining your budget.

📚 Unwaged or Student (£8):
We value the importance of making our event available to everyone, regardless of financial constraints. The unwaged or student ticket is here for those facing financial challenges, such as students or individuals without a regular income source. It ensures that financial limitations do not hinder anyone from joining the experience.

🎧 This Sunday, I am thrilled to be back at Sundance, and ill be bringing a mesmerizing wave of Global Beats and Ethno House along with some of my usual shamanic soundscapes. It's a journey that'll take you through different sounds, connecting cultures and people in a beautiful community dance experience. 🌍🎶

Three more sleeps!!! 🎉

This Sun💚Day we are utterly excited and honoured to welcome The Order Of Love and guest Tariq Emam into our family! 🥳

Damien Mahoney, Nicholas Malin and Tariq Emam come together to play a spontaneous set of soundscapes on a global selection of instruments and percussion.

All music is live and improvised. We play in relationship to the dancefloor. Every event is totally unique. What you bring will be reflected in the music.

The Order Of Love have been crafting dance floor spaces for about 7 years, on and off now.

Their work focuses on intuitive, impromptu sound journeying, rhythm, movement medicine, trance & tribal dance, mantra and medicine songs with an emphasis on heart-wisdom, healing and connection. Expect elements of Afro, funk, dub and psychedelic flavours in the mix plus much more!

This event is an invitation to express through movement; a space with the freedom to let loose, where the body and the music lead the way.

Dancers respond to the music, musicians to the dancers; a co - creation happening in the present moment where we share the journey but with the freedom to be ourselves.

Come as you are, we welcome you with open arms and hearts. Come join us for a unique evening of dance and celebration! 💚

There is no need to pre-book for this event, tickets are purchased on the door. We accept card or cash payments. Be sure to add it to your diary so you don't miss out!

Every week we gather, to co-create a space where we can feel free and safe to move and play, to stretch and sweat, to connect and transform, to release and renew. Alchemising emotions into life force, translating movement into creative expression and supporting each other to grow and expand.

Join DJ Rae (Rae Light) and Raquel (Shakti Alchemy) at tomorrow, 1st of October. Raquel will guide us through a nourishing and grounding embodied warm up and Rae will be creating a shamanic dance floor experience, taking us on a journey that move us ever deeper into the body through her music and sounds. She deftly weaves tribal and organic textures with electronic elements to guide deep into the inner realms.
