✨New identity. Same purpose.

We’re proud to share the refreshed look and newly redesigned website for Unique Community Services.

While our branding has evolved, our purpose remains the same: delivering complex care that is built around people’s needs, strengths and aspirations, supporting better outcomes at home and in the community.

The new website has been thoughtfully designed to offer a clearer, more accessible user experience, making it easier for commissioners, professionals, families and partners to understand who we are, what we do, and how we can help.

Because when care feels personal, outcomes become possible.💙

💙Meet our Partnership Specialist, Steven Wynne!

Steve works closely with commissioners and local authorities to make sure the right support is in place, especially when situations are complex or time-critical.

Much of this work happens behind the scene, from responding to urgent referrals, to working with internal teams to mobilise support, to making sure communication stays clear and transparent for everyone involved.

Because good care starts with strong relationships.

We don’t just support the person who needs care - we support the whole family. 💛

For William, the right support changed everything. It gave him confidence, safety, and the freedom to enjoy life again. And for his dad, Jonathan, it meant something just as powerful: the chance to return to work after seven years of caring full-time.

This is what person-centred support really looks like.

➡️The White Paper 2025 publication reflects conversations we’ve been having across the care sector throughout the year.

If you’re involved in care delivering it, commissioning it, or relying on it, you’ll recognise the struggles: not enough time, limited space, mounting pressure.

We asked care professionals, families, and commissioners to speak openly about their experiences. This publication captures their voices and explores what’s needed to improve care.

➡️Less Constraints, Better Care

Real transformation happens through collective action. Our research identifies successes, ongoing challenges, and the ways the system can evolve to provide equal, timely, and effective support for everyone.

🏬Enjoying the Gherkin, a coffee, and a calm moment in the heart of London.

Nothing beats a day exploring one of Elliot’s favourite buildings in London! From gazing up at the iconic Gherkin to sipping coffee in his favourite café, he was soaking up every happy moment.

Elliot’s journey reminds us just how far he’s come. After years in hospital, he now lives in his own home. a place where he sets his own pace, follows his own plans, and fills his days with the things he loves.

Today, that meant exploring incredible buildings, enjoying his coffee just how he likes it, and being fully part of the city he adores. We couldn’t be happier to be by his side for these special adventures. 💛

🤝Real empowerment starts with saying: “Yes, you can try.”

Positive risk-taking is a vital part of truly person-centred care. It’s about giving people the chance to make choices, try new experiences, and take meaningful steps toward independence, even when there’s some uncertainty.

When risks are thoughtfully assessed and supported, they build confidence, resilience, and a sense of control. Overprotection can hold people back; trusting them with measured, supported risks helps them grow.

We’ve shared a few real examples of what positive risk-taking looks like in practice, and how it can transform someone’s life.

Elliot has a favourite building in Leeds - and a favourite sofa inside the Starbucks next door.

Every day, he orders his own hot chocolate, chats to the staff who adore him, and spends hours listening to music. It’s his happy place, his independence, his world.

“He loves buildings… and almost every day he goes to one. Starbucks staff know him so well, he just relaxes, listens to his music and lives his best life.” - Christine, Elliot’s mother

This moment tells you so much about who he is: creative, curious, gentle.

And it’s just the beginning of Elliot’s journey, a story about being seen, understood, and supported to live life on his own terms.
