PROSTATE CANCER - Please share to help raise awareness!
Prostate cancer usually develops slowly, so there may be no signs for many years.
Currently in the UK, prostate cancer is the most common cancer in males with more than 44,000 men being diagnosed every year.
While there is no national screening for prostate cancer at present, we encourage all men to speak to their GP if they notice any symptoms.
Symptoms include:
- Needing to p*e more frequently, often during the night
- Needing to rush to the toilet
- Difficulty starting to p*e
- Straining or taking a long time while p*eing
- Weak flow
- Feeling that your bladder has not emptied fully
- Blood in urine or blood on semen
These symptoms do not always mean you have prostate cancer, but it is important you speak to your GP as soon as possible.
If you don't have any symptoms, but have concerns due to having a family history of prostate cancer, please submit an online medical request.
If you need an examination, a chaperone will be provided. We can organise for a male chaperone if preferred.
