Teacher feedback that says it all.

“It was a great opportunity for the children to really understand, empathise, and reflect on how it feels to live with a disability.”

A huge thank you to All Saints Primary School and to Hannah for such kind words following our session with Year 5.
From learning about blind football and perseverance, to getting hands-on in the practical activities, the pupils showed brilliant curiosity, empathy, and maturity throughout.

This is exactly what Learn With ESS is about — creating meaningful experiences that spark understanding, gratitude, and conversations that stay with young people long after the session ends 💚💙🧡

Thank you for having us — and for being so open to learning, reflecting, and growing together.

“I live a better life than 99% of people with sight.”

Read that again.

This isn’t motivation.
It’s a mirror.

Learn With ESS exists to challenge how we see disability, ability, and potential.
To create spaces where perspective shifts, access opens, and people are seen before labels.

This is perspective in action.

Real words. Real impact.

After delivering a classroom workshop and a practical session at Kersley West Primary School, as part of the Farnworth Matters programme, it was brilliant to hear this feedback from Mrs Marston.

From engaging even the less attentive pupils, to helping children experience the world without sight or hearing, the session encouraged empathy, understanding, and a new perspective on the challenges others may face.

Exactly why this work matters — creating moments that stick, spark conversation, and help young people see the world a little differently. 💚💙🧡

We’re extremely excited for the month of January as we officially kick off the Farnworth Matters programme.

It’s a true privilege to be part of such a unique initiative supporting schools across Farnworth, helping young people access experiences, activities, and skills that go beyond the classroom and support community strengths identified locally. Farnworth has a vibrant community spirit and real ambition for positive change and this programme is part of that wider movement.

Through our inclusion and disability awareness sessions, we’re hopeful the conversations and experiences created will be both memorable and impactful. With visits to 11+ schools this month, we can’t wait to collaborate with schools, staff, and the wider Farnworth community.

A programme that is truly one of a kind and a real honour to be part of it. 💚💙🧡

Wishing everyone a brilliant start to 2026 ✨

We recently caught up with Gavin Astley from Carrs Pasties to ask a simple but important question:
What do people not always see or realise about the Learn With ESS workshop experience?

What stood out most was something you can’t always capture in a flyer, a poster, or a social post — the shift in confidence, openness, and happiness.
Time and time again, Gavin sees people leave sessions feeling more assured, more comfortable asking questions they’ve never felt able to ask before, and genuinely lighter for having had the space to do so safely.

That’s the power of creating environments where curiosity is welcomed, barriers are broken down, and real conversations are encouraged.
The impact doesn’t stop when the workshop ends — it shows up in how people feel, interact, and carry themselves afterwards.

We’re grateful to work with partners who truly see and value that difference.
This is Learn With ESS — beyond what you can put on a poster.

Client Feedback Spotlight!

“An amazing session. Not just a sensory impairment workshop, but real education around empathy, leadership, and resilience. I couldn’t recommend it more for all types of workplaces.”

Tom, Head of Sports Investment at Republic Europe, joined us for a Learn With ESS session after first meeting Azeem at the Sports Initiative Group.

What stood out most was how the session went beyond awareness — combining lived experience, practical insight, and leadership thinking to help people reflect on how they show empathy, respond to challenge, and lead with purpose.

Huge thanks to Tom and the Republic team for the kind words — and for backing the importance of inclusion, resilience, and people-first leadership 💚💙🧡

Accessible Technology Spotlight!

We recently caught up with Azeem to talk about how a seemingly simple piece of technology has had a powerful impact on his independence this year.

The Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses have changed how Azeem navigates everyday life as a visually impaired person — from reading his own post in the morning, to independently reading menus in cafés, to being guided safely through busy streets using live point-of-view support.

One moment that really stood out was something Azeem never thought would be possible: independently going go-karting. With a friend seeing exactly what he sees through the glasses, real-time guidance turned something once out of reach into a reality.

This isn’t about gadgets or novelty. It’s about independence, dignity, and what happens when accessibility is built into innovation from the start.

If a “funky pair of sunglasses” can open doors like this, imagine what’s possible when inclusive design leads the way.

💚💙🧡
