Our Remembrance Day party. 🇬🇧🇬🇧

This afternoon our residents enjoyed a fantastic Remembrance afternoon, entertained by the amazing Natalie.
It was an afternoon to remember all our military and civilian servicemen and women who died in the line of duty. They were true heroes and we thank them for their bravery, service and sacrifice.

Thank you Natalie for coming to sing for us.
Our residents loved the afternoon.

Remembering our departed loved ones on this All Souls Day. 🙏🙏

During the month of November, we remember and pray especially for the souls of all our beloved residents who have passed on over the last 12 months. May they rest in eternal peace and light in the presence of our Merciful God.

We remember also members of our own families and friends. We entrust them all to God's mercy, confident that one day , we too will share in the joy of eternal communion.

Let us take a moment this All Souls Day to whisper the following prayer.

"Eternal rest grant unto them O LORD, and let the perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen." 🙏🙏

All Saints Day.

Today we celebrate the feast or solemnity of all the saints recognised by the church as holy men and women and all those who remain unknown. We look to them as guides and teachers, reminding us that we, too, can pursue sainthood amidst all our human imperfections.

The saints are people who allow Jesus to work through them and accomplish what he wants through them.
By living out the Beatitudes, the beating heart of the Gospel, they tell us how to be holy and how we too can become saints.

All Saints in heaven, please pray for us. 🙏🙏🙏

The Catholic Church dedicates the month of October to the Holy Rosary, during this time we are reminded that through Mary, Queen of Peace, we are drawn closer to her son Jesus Christ. By praying the Rosary daily, is to hand over all our troubles and burdens to the merciful hearts of Christ and His Mother.

Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

We really enjoyed our trip to see the famous Blackpool lights. The fish and chips were delicious and some of us got to have a little walk on the beach. A great trip, enjoyed by all.
