According to Chinese Medicine we are now in the 5th season- 'late summer' and autumn is around the corner.
Late summer is energetically connected to the Spleen and stomach It's time to pay special attention to the digestion as our energy and immunity changes with the seasons.
If the Spleen and Stomach is low on energy, you may experience nausea, stomach flu, IBS, weight gain, blood sugar disorders, or low energy.
As we are now transitioning to the colder, more ‘yin' part of the year. Balance cold foods with warm tea, or better still eat lightly warmed steamed or blanched foods instead of reaching for raw salads. Ginger tea is particularly good for supporting the digestion.
Enjoy the last of summers goodness by eating seasonal foods such as squash carrots, aubergine, tomato, greens, peas, beetroot, peas, beans apple, lemon and grapes.
