❤️❤️❤️ National Grief Awareness Week ❤️❤️❤️

'If Christmas is hard, If you've lost someone dear
Just look in your heart, and you'll know they're still near.

The star in the sky, the light falling snow
The robin outside, it seems like they know.

If this is a time, when you're struggling through
Just do what you can, for what matters, is you.

You don't have to be merry, there is no need to be bright. Just do what you can, it will all be alright.'

Sending love from us all at Pierce of Art to all who are grieving ❤️

🌟 **Honoring the Memory of Kyle Kane Maher** 🌟

At Kane Funeral Services, we believe in creating beautiful farewells that truly reflect the individual. We recently had the privilege of helping to celebrate the life of Kyle Kane Maher, a remarkable soul who loved motorbikes and embraced life with zest.

🔵 **A Sea of Blue**: In a touching tribute to Kyle's vibrant spirit, everyone gathered to pay their respects wore the color he adored - blue. It was a poignant reminder of the passion and energy he brought to every moment.

🕊️ **Doves of Peace**: As doves gracefully took flight, they symbolized the peace and freedom that Kyle now enjoys. It was a moment of serenity and closure for all who loved him.

☀️ **Bathed in Sunshine**: The sun shone brightly, casting a warm and comforting light over the ceremony. It felt as if Kyle's spirit was smiling down on us, bringing solace to his family and friends.

🎵 **The Soothing Melody**: A bagpiper played a hauntingly beautiful tune, adding a touch of tradition and reverence to the proceedings. Music has a way of expressing emotions that words cannot.

Kyle's farewell was a testament to a life well-lived, and it was an honor to be a part of creating a memorable and meaningful tribute. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and loved ones during this time.

At Kane Funeral Services, we are here to ensure that every farewell is as unique as the individual it honors. If you'd like to discuss how we can help you plan a personalised tribute for your loved one, please don't hesitate to reach out. 💙🕊️🌞🎶

THE LOSS OF A FATHER

Is the anchor pulled from the seabed
the steering wheel unhinged
the mast split by lightning
and the bow broken by storm.

The ship that you sailed
until now
feels unsafe
no longer weather-proof
and without direction
or brave heart
to speed its way.

Perhaps you did not even know
that he was your compass
that you gazed upon his lead
like a North-star in the night.

He gave you all of this
you see
without notice or congratulation
diligently
consistently
continuously guiding
always showing the way
in the way he knew how.

And whilst you are cast adrift
I know this to be true
you will anchor yourself once more my friend
when you realise
that his voice still speaks
still guides
still brings brave heart your way
in the roughest of storms .

And the answers you seek
he already planted deep
within your heart
for he knew one day

you would need to sail alone.

So he buried little pieces of himself
within your heart
your mind
your spirit
and your soul

little breadcrumbs of love
to show the way

forevermore.

(My ❤️ to all this weekend)

When it comes to grief, remember this:

You have not broken a bone.
There is no default treatment,
no cure,
no timeline
for your healing.

You cannot strap your heart to the heart next to it
and hope that it mends itself.

You cannot wrap it in a cast
and protect it from further breaking.

You cannot rest it for weeks or months.

You cannot rely on your other heart
like you might a leg or an arm.

You have not broken a bone.

And yet, like a broken bone, your heart will always now have a vulnerable spot. A bruise, a burn, a scar.

And just as your arm can still ache after breaking
when it has been holding too much for too long,
so your heart may ache.

When it has been holding too much.
For too long.

But just as your once-broken arm can still hold things and your once-broken leg can still dance,
so your heart will learn to carry you forward.

Even when it aches.
