Being grateful for what we have attracts more of what we love 🩵

A book that recently changed my brain chemistry: the mastery of love.

The mastery of love is a wisdom book that not only explains the importance of self-love. Don Miguel Ruiz also shares the importance of taking responsibility for your half a relationship, dealing with your emotional struggles and respecting that your partner may very well be doing the same.

We all have rules or agreements set for ourselves that we live by and judge ourselves by. Some of these rules are unrealistic, untrue, and unhelpful. Ruiz calls these agreements, in CBT we call these negative unhelpful thoughts, and in Counselling we call them introjects. All schools thought describe the same thing.

If we unlearn these unrealistic expectations of ourselves then we can set ourselves free to be our true self. Naturally, with this ease in our relationship with ourselves we find ease in our relationships with others.

Here beautiful things happen ❤️

There’s a lot happening in the world right now. Between global news, events in our local communities, and the pressures of everyday life, many people are carrying a lot right now.

It’s important to stay informed and speak your truth, but it’s also important to look after your mental wellbeing and reset when needed.

One simple way to take stock and invite more rest is to notice what gives you energy and what drains it.

Write down a list of what you think drains your energy e.g., mindless scrolling or bad friends.

Then write down a list of what brings you energy e.g., being in nature, time with loved ones, when you move your body.

Small, intentional shifts can help your body feel safer, calmer, and more at rest 💛

You might come to CBT for one reason such as food, weight, stress, or anxiety. But you don’t leave with just one tool.

CBT skills stay with you for life, quietly shaping how you respond to challenges, relate to yourself with more compassion, and live in a way that feels more authentic and aligned with who you really are ✨

If you’re curious about CBT or feel ready for some support, feel free to get in touch.

If dieting hasn’t worked for you, it’s not your fault.

Most programmes don’t teach the psychological skills needed to live healthily in the real world, with emotions, habits, stress, and setbacks.

This year, it’s health first, not weight first. Less shame. More understanding. Skills for life 🩵

Our inner child carries our earliest experiences, emotions, and needs.

By gently reconnecting with this part of ourselves, we can begin to heal old patterns and allow more freedom, authenticity, and self-compassion into our lives.

Therapy can offer a safe space to explore this at your own pace 🙏✨

At this time of year, there’s a lot of pressure to reinvent yourself.

New year, new goals, new habits. Yet in nature, it is still winter. A season that invites rest, slowness, and conservation of energy.

If you’re finding it hard to make big changes right now, that doesn’t mean you’re failing. It may simply mean you’re responding naturally to the season you’re in. Spring is a time more aligned with growth, flourishing, and renewal.

Although now is a great time to reflect and take stock of the year. For now, it’s okay to move gently.

You don’t need to become a new version of yourself in 2026. You are already enough. 🩵

24/12/2025

As the year draws to a close, many people feel a mix of reflection, fatigue, and pressure to “feel better” or move on.

There’s no deadline for healing, processing, or understanding yourself more deeply. You’re allowed to arrive at the end of this year exactly as you are.

If this season brings up more than you expected, you don’t have to carry it alone 🩵

Whether you’re marking Christmas, Hanukkah, another celebration, or none at all. This message is for you.

This time of year can bring many emotions, whether you’re celebrating, remembering, grieving, feeling overwhelmed, or simply getting through the days.

There’s no right way to feel, and no requirement to be joyful or festive. However this season looks for you, your experience is valid.

Take things at your own pace. Rest where you can. Reach out if you need support. You are not alone 💛

Signs You Might Benefit From Therapy (even when life looks “fine” from the outside)

Therapy isn’t only for moments of crisis. It can simply be a supportive space to understand yourself better and feel more grounded.

Here are a few gentle signs it might be helpful:

✨ You feel overwhelmed more often than usual
✨ You’re always there for others but rarely have time for yourself
✨ Old habits or patterns keep popping up
✨ You’re going through a change and want help navigating it
✨ You want to understand your emotions more deeply
✨ You’d like a space to talk without judgement
✨ You just don’t feel quite like yourself lately

Therapy can offer clarity, calm, and a chance to reconnect with who you are.
You don’t have to wait for things to get worse. Support can start at any time. 💛

If you’re curious about whether therapy could help, we’re here whenever you’re ready.
