When was the last time you had routine blood tests done?
If you’re over 25, a few simple blood tests can give powerful insight into your overall health—things like anemia, vitamin levels, cholesterol, blood sugar, thyroid function, and organ health. You don’t need to feel unwell to check in. Preventive testing helps catch issues early, guide healthier choices, and gives you a baseline for the future. Your health is worth checking in on.
Disclaimer: These tests should not replace a Doctor’s consultation, if you have any unusual symptoms.

Seeing a change on your skin can be scary, but you’re not alone. Melanoma is treatable, especially when found early. Noticing symptoms and reaching out is a strong first step.

Any type of pain that wakes you up at night needs to be investigated.
If you have bone pain that wakes you at night, it is particularly concerning and should not be ignored.

I’ve seen so many devastating stories recently. There was a gentleman with no significant medical history who had ongoing back pain. He was repeatedly given pain relief, but nothing more was done. Eventually, he presented again because he could no longer tolerate the pain and the medication was no longer effective.

As soon as he was scanned, it was found to be bone cancer.

Bone pain that wakes you at night is a red flag, especially if you have a history of cancer or have been told your cancer is in remission. It needs to be investigated.

If you’re unwell and not eating or drinking, some medicines should be temporarily stopped to protect your kidneys.

Remember SAD MANS:
• S – Sulfonylureas (e.g. gliclazide, glimepiride)
• A – ACE inhibitors (e.g. ramipril, lisinopril)
• D – Diuretics (e.g. furosemide, bendroflumethiazide)
• M – Metformin
• A – ARBs (e.g. losartan, candesartan)
• N – NSAIDs (e.g. ibuprofen, naproxen, piroxicam)

Restart once you’re eating and drinking normally.

It’s the last slide for me 🥰How about you?
Happy Sunday everyone! That was how decided to bless me with this outfit sometime last year! And I’m in love with it. Meanwhile, which style do you prefer with or without the head piece?

What is the FIT test?

The FIT test checks for tiny amounts of blood in your stool (poo) that cannot be seen by the naked eye.
Blood in the stool can be an early sign of bowel (colorectal) cancer or other bowel conditions.
You may be offered a FIT test if you have:
• A change in bowel habits
• Unexplained abdominal pain
• Unexplained weight loss
• Iron-deficiency anaemia
• Other symptoms that may suggest bowel disease

The FIT test helps doctors decide who needs further tests, such as a colonoscopy.
