When you are about to enter your next level - achieve a goal, do something you've been meaning to do or step into the unknown... your brain tells you it is unsafe.
You self sabotage, procrastinate or allow the fear to set you back completely.
New = Fear in our brain because its job is to keep us safe
So next time you have to send an email. that feels scary, do something new or leave the comfort zone... heres how to do it...
Step 1: Regulate first, then decide
Before taking action, pause. Breathe slowly, place a hand on your body, and let your central nervous system settle. Clarity comes from calm - moving forward in moments of stress creates panic and unaligned movements
Step 2: Take the smallest aligned step
Your nervous system responds best to safety, but you also want to move forward. Choose the next doable step, not the biggest one and build eveidence that the world doesnt end when you move forward.
Step 3: Anchor safety after youve taken action
After you step outside your comfort zone, ground yourself. Celebrate the win. Let your body learn: this is safe by consciously focussing on the action steps
Growth that feels good is growth that lasts - lean into the fear and gently push through with these simple steps.
