Mr Kim has performed the largest number of private robot assisted hip and knee replacements in the UK ( > 1,500 cases to date) With a focus on arthritic conditions and well known for robot assisted hip and knee replacements ( largest numbers performed in 2021 in the North, 2nd highest in the UK; > 600 robot assisted total hip, knee and partial knee replacements performed. Manchester Hip and Knee Clinic provides expert assessment and options of a variety of non-operative and operative treatments led by Mr Winston Kim FRCS(Orth). As a consequence of the rise in more active lifestyles, there's also been an increase in hip and knee complaints, and higher expectations of what modern treatment can offer. The clinic prides itself on adopting modern leading edge technology to improve quality of life for patients. He then went on to complete higher specialist training in the North West Orthopaedic Rotation in England, where he obtained the FRCS(Orth). Our Story

With a focus on arthritic conditions, sports injuries and the after effects of sports injuries of the hip and knee, the Manchester Hip and Knee Clinic provides a variety of non-operative and operative treatments led by Winston Kim FRCS(Orth), Consultant Hip & Knee Surgeon. Mr Kim graduated MB ChB from the University of Aberdeen. He then went on to complete higher specialist training in the North West Orthopaedic Rotation in England, obtaining the FRCS(Orth). He was awarded a British Orthopaedic Foundation Fellowship, (Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, and Hospital of Special Surgery, New York City) and spent a year as Clinical & Research Fellow at Vancouver General Hospital, Canada (Clive Duncan, Bassam Masri).

He pioneered Robotic Assisted Knee and Hip Surgery in the North of England and was the first to complete Robotic assisted Knee (Navio, Smith & Nephew) replacement, robotic arm assisted partial knee replacement (MAKO, Stryker) and Robotic-arm assisted Hip Replacements (MAKO, Stryker). He has the largest series of Robotic Assisted Joint replacements in the North West of England (Hip, partial knee and knee replacements combined).
