What my PDA avoidance feels like
I’ve always had a drive to avoid demands
Just like I’ve always needed to breathe
It feels like a forcefield closing in and stopping me from doing the thing I’d planned

We’ve been quiet here due to our own circumstances but due to a few recent enquires for support we would like to offer a zoom catch up for anyone new to the group or just wanting to connect locally with other parents.

This makes total sense to me. School and nursery both told me that my son had separation anxiety before he was diagnosed and now I know where it came from! Brilliant article and helpful for improving our understanding.

Please find below my SEND provision calculator. This is a spreadsheet and it has formula's already loaded in the columns which will help you cost provision for an EHCP.

“Having come across The Nurture Programme earlier this year, I have done/doing all 5 of their current programmes. We are still on the diagnosis pathway with my 6 year old son who is Autistic, PDA & ADHD . I cannot express how much I have learnt from Jodie & all her amazing colleagues along the way. To be learning from ‘lived experience’ perspective rather than the ‘medical model’ is absolutely invaluable! I hold high hopes for continuing my learning journey through the conference. Accessing the conference is so important to me that, as it falls during half term in our area, I have even made Daddy take time off to look after our son whilst I attend the conference 😆”

My 7 year old son is finding some of his autistic tendencies difficult to deal with and would like to talk with an adult who can "help him manage". Does anyone know of someone autistic themselves who can provide 121 sessions for kids? He'd love someone face to face (we live in Sale) ideally but online is possible. His special interests are Madness Combat and Minecraft.
