When we started designing in collaboration with (MSK) researchers, we asked people living with MSK conditions one question:

What would you want people outside of this group to know about living with an MSK condition?

They said:
📣 That MSK conditions affect everyone differently
📣 There's no 'one-size-fits-all' to managing MSK conditions, we want to see more examples of how others are doing it
📣 They wanted personalised advice about self-management & physical movement instead of general advice

Which is why, in collaboration with researchers, members from the Musculoskeletal Research User Network, and Your Rheum, we created to share personal stories of living with an MSK condition and to raise awareness of MSK research.

Stillbirth is still a taboo subject for many. We want to break this taboo by providing a safe space for women who have experienced a stillbirth to talk to other women, explore their own experiences, meet midwives and pregnancy researchers to ask questions and to give an opportunity for their voices to be heard in research.

Still Life is a project we are running for women who identify as Jewish living in Greater Manchester. A new series of free, culturally-appropriate workshops will begin in the new year and we encourage anyone interested to get in touch for a chat or to sign-up.

People at Manchester University are trying to find out what the general public (people who don’t have a degree or specialist knowledge of particular subject area) think certain words mean. The answers will be collated and used to give some Healthcare Science students a more realistic idea of which words the general public find challenging, which are ok to use and which words people misunderstand.

CAN YOU HELP? The survey closes tonight and they need a few more responses, if you have a few minutes to spare please have a go at completing one or both of the surveys..there are two topics to choose from, so choose the one you know least on (or tackle both)!
