Frances passed away suddenly but peacefully at her home in Moston, comforted by her loving family, on January 29th 2026, aged 78 years. The loving and devoted Wife of Dave, and precious and cherished Mam of Kevin, Paul, David and Emma. Cherished Nanna, Great Nanna, Dear Mother-In-Law, Sister and Auntie, who will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all her family and friends.

Service to be celebrated on Thursday 5th March 2026 at St John Vianney’s RC Church, Moston at 11:00am followed by committal at Blackley Crematorium (Centre Chapel). Family flowers by request, donations preferred to ‘The Christie’. Carl Anthony McDonald:

Carl passed away suddenly on 12th January, aged 43 years. The cherished Son of Gillian and Peter, and treasured and adored Dad to Lily, Bobby and Elsie. A dearly loved Brother to Vicky and Darren, and precious Uncle to Ellie, Alfie, Lennon, Lexi, Lola, Cienna, Robert and Audrey. Carl will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all his family and friends.

On Friday 6th March, Carl will be received into Gorton Monastery, Gorton Lane for service at 10.30am, followed by interment at Droylsden Cemetery.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
The service will begin at 10:30am, however all mourners must be at Gorton Monastery by 10:00am. Seating will need to be completed by 10:30am in readiness for the service.

For those wishing to follow the cortege, we will be leaving from Gill and Pete's at 10:00am, so please arrive there beforehand, or make your way directly to the monastery if preferred.

We kindly ask everyone to arrive in good time.

David passed away suddenly on 7th January 2026, aged 73 years. Much loved Son of the late Lilian and Leslie (R.I.P). Loving Brother of Leslie, Stewart, Jeff, James, Ruth, Carol and the late Yvonne (R.I.P). Caring and devoted Dad of Jayne, Andrew and the late Michael (R.I.P). Treasured Grandad to Ryan, Sinead, devoted Great Grandad of Myla-Jayne, and beloved Husband of the late Jackie (R.I.P). A dear Brother-in-law and Uncle, he will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

Kathleen, of Edward Street Moston, sadly passed away on the 22nd of January 2026, aged 79 years. A loving and devoted Wife of the late Thomas, now reunited. A caring and dearly loved Mum to Karen, Louise, Thomas and Martin. A much loved and adored Grandma of Natasha, Rebecca, Sam, Ellis, Tommy, Hannah and Amelia. Also a cherished Mother-in-law, Sister-in-law, Aunty, Great Aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed but the memory of her treasured by her family and many friends.

On Wednesday 25th February, Kathleen will be received into the Catholic Church of St Dunstan’s, Moston Lane, Moston, for full Requiem Mass at 10am, followed by committal at Blackley Crematorium. Andrew, a precious Son of the late Ellen and Richard "Jock" Now reunited. The loving and devoted Dad of Warren, Louis and Talia, and caring and much loved Grandad to Amber. John Baptist Goggins:

On Tuesday 6th January 2026, John Baptist Goggins sadly passed away after a short illness. Much loved and cherished Husband of the late Rita, and treasured Dad to Mark, Louise, Liz and the late Paul. Devoted Grandad and Great Grandad, and much loved Father-in-law, Brother-in-law, Uncle and friend.

John was the first headteacher of St Gerard's RC Secondary School, Moston, in 1963, where he remained the head until the school amalgamated and became St Matthew's RC High School and he became the headteacher where he remained until his retirement. He was the choirmaster at St Dunstan's Church for 32 years from 1951, and one of the founding members of St Dunstan's Operatic and Dramatic Society in 1954.

John's Requiem Mass will be held at St Dunstan's RC Church, Moston, on Wednesday 11th February 2026, at 10am followed by private interment at Saltcotes Catholic Cemetery, Lytham, on Thursday 12th February. Family flowers only by request, donations preferred to the Cardinal Hume Centre. All enquiries to Michael Kennedy at Greater Manchester Funeral Service, on 0161 681 1864.

Richard passed away peacefully at home this year 2026 on January 3rd, comforted by his loving and heartbroken family. Rick of Alkrington, aged 67 years, the much loved and devoted Husband of Sue. A cherished and dearly loved Dad to Richard and Sean, and caring and adored Grandad of Soraya. He will be fondly remembered by all his family and many, many friends.

On Monday 2nd February, Rick will be received into the Centre Chapel at Blackley Crematorium at 11.00am. Family flowers only please.
