As we’re hurtling towards the end of the year, I’ve been pr̶o̶c̶r̶a̶s̶t̶i̶n̶a̶t̶i̶n̶g̶, I mean reflecting on the past 12 months, it’s been a wild ride, here’s what I’ve learnt
1. Starting again was exciting, but it’s been the biggest learning curve, leaning into change is one of the best ways to learn and shape your future.
2. Finding my own rhythm following an ADHD self diagnosis was a challenge, it made me question things, look at things in a different way but essentially not hold myself to the old ways of doing things. Your rhythm needs to fit you, not the old you, not the I wish I was like this you, the you right here and now.
3. Find your people, it’s ok not to feel like you fit in, you possibly don’t, but you will fit in, in the right places. Don’t waste your time trying too hard in the wrong places.
4. People will buy into you and your ideas more than yourself. We often think we need polished ideas, proof, experience and all the detail figured out, most people buy into you and trust you can do what you say you can do. It’s important to have that faith in yourself.
5. Shrinking to fit is never the answer, yes we bend, we adapt, but remember the path you’ve walked, the power inside you and just how fu***ng capable you actually are.
6. Create the space to be more intentional, about the small things and the big things, the every day thing. Doing things with purpose is a lot more enjoyable (and sometimes more Instagramable to)
7. Slower is sometimes better.
8. Boundaries need to be more robust than a wet piece of rice paper, and more than you’re paid for, isn’t always smart. If it’s not for a reason or purpose,
9. The vibe check is a very valid measure to use.
10. It’s not that serious.
Here’s to 2026, more fun, less chaos, more money, less work, more of these photos.
