Massage today is no longer seen by most people as a luxury — it has become something truly essential.

If you train at the gym or do strength training, regular massage is highly recommended to help release muscle tension and support recovery. When your muscles are relaxed and regenerated, your training becomes more effective and your body performs better.

But massage is not only for athletes. Even everyday activities place a surprising amount of stress on our bodies. Lifting a child, sitting at a desk for hours, driving, carrying shopping bags — all of these small daily tasks gradually build up tension in our muscles. Often we don’t even realise it until we start experiencing headaches, fatigue, stiffness, or a general lack of energy.

Sometimes all it takes is one good massage to release this accumulated tension. Many people notice that their body feels lighter, their mind calmer, and their energy slowly returns.

Massage should be treated as part of a healthy self-care routine — taking an hour every now and then just for yourself. It relaxes not only the muscles and body, but also the mind. Right after a massage you might feel a little tired or sleepy because the muscles have been deeply worked on, but soon afterwards you often feel renewed energy and vitality.

If you’ve never experienced a massage before, you truly don’t know what you’re missing. And if you already enjoy massages, you probably understand how important they are in today’s fast-paced world.

⭐️Interesting fact ⭐️

Floating therapy was invented as early as 1954. However, it became widely popular in Australia and the United States around the 1980s, and in the UK it only really started gaining popularity around 2010. Before that, it was more of a niche practice. Now, there are more and more floating centres across the UK

But what exactly is floating?🩵

Floating therapy is designed to disconnect you from all external stimuli. Every day, no matter what you do, your body is constantly affected by gravity and surrounded by noise, light, and sensory input. Floating allows you to completely switch off from sound, light, and the outside world. Your muscles decompress, your joints relax, and you simply float effortlessly on water.

Inside the tank there is about half a ton of Epsom salt, creating an extremely buoyant solution — so buoyant that you simply cannot sink.

Regular floating helps calm and reset the nervous system. It’s a moment where, for an hour, you truly don’t have to think about anything. You feel safe and deeply relaxed. You step into the tank, close the lid, lie on the water, and gradually all sensations fade away.

Sometimes it even feels like you don’t know where your body begins or ends, because the water is heated to skin temperature. It’s not warm and it’s not cold — it simply matches your body perfectly.

If you have any aches or tension in your body, they often fade away while floating because your body is completely supported by the water.

I train regularly, and floating helps me with recovery and calming my nervous system. Sometimes daily life can feel overstimulating, and floating helps everything come back to balance.

Switching it up from oatmeal — today I’m having instant rice flakes 🙂
A great gluten-free breakfast option. I mix it with protein powder (white chocolate flavour) and it tastes amazing — even better with some grated dark chocolate 🍫
Topped with blueberries and raspberries 🫐❤️

I always keep my protein high — this breakfast has over 40g of protein 💪 ( yesss)
Simple, warm, sweet, and so satisfying — perfect for starting the day right ✨

I love starting (and finishing) my reflexology sessions by gently working on the Solar Plexus point ✨

The Solar Plexus acts like a central hub of nerves — a powerful “switchboard” that connects the brain with the organs in the abdomen. It helps regulate many vital functions and plays a key role in our body’s response to stress.

When this point is stimulated, it can bring a deep sense of calm, balance, and emotional release 🌿

Even a few minutes of focused work here can help my clients feel more relaxed, grounded, and reconnected with their body.

Sometimes the smallest points hold the biggest power 💫

✨In my practice, I like to include an additional 15 minutes of foot work in every massage, as it is incredibly relaxing✨

Even within those 15 minutes, I usually work on a few reflex points, and my clients often feel noticeable benefits almost immediately.

However, a full reflexology session is not the same as a foot massage.
While it may include some massage elements, it mainly focuses on applying pressure to specific reflex points, sometimes using circular movements.

Some areas may feel slightly tender, but it should never be painful.
For most people, the experience is deeply relaxing and soothing.

Today’s breakfast — of course oats as my main carb source 🤍

Lately I’ve been choosing gluten-free oats, and I always add a big scoop of protein powder to boost my protein intake.

Topped with coconut flakes and frozen blueberries, which melt slightly from the heat… I honestly love that combo — warm oats with cold fruit 🫐✨

Blueberries and mixed berries are low in calories, but also packed with antioxidants, support digestion, help reduce inflammation, and are great for skin and overall health.

I track my macros, and right now during my cut this bowl comes to around:
38g protein / 9g fats / 40g carbs

Simple, nourishing, and so satisfying 💫

Adrenal reflex ✨

Very often I notice that this area on the foot is very sensitive for my clients, and sometimes even slightly raised.
This is the adrenal gland reflex point.

In reflexology, this point is connected with the body’s stress response and hormone balance, especially hormones like adrenaline and cortisol that help the body deal with stress and energy levels.

Because this area can be quite sensitive, I usually work on it gently, using light pressure or small circular movements to keep the treatment comfortable and relaxing.

Adrenal reflex ✨

Very often I notice that my clients have this area very sensitive, and sometimes even slightly raised.
This is the area of the adrenal glands.

In reflexology, the adrenal gland reflex point is associated with the body’s stress response and the production of important hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol. These hormones help the body cope with stress, regulate energy levels, support blood pressure, and influence metabolism.

When this reflex point is stimulated during a reflexology treatment, it is believed to help support the adrenal glands and encourage the body’s natural balance. Many reflexologists work on this point to promote relaxation, help the body manage stress, and support overall vitality.

Because this area can often be sensitive, I usually apply gentle pressure or work with small circular movements when stimulating this point, making the treatment comfortable and relaxing for the client.

✨What is Swedish massage?💆‍♀️

Swedish massage is often the foundation of a massage therapist’s skills. In the UK, two main training paths for massage therapists are usually based on either Swedish massage or sports massage.

Coming back to the first one – Swedish massage is often simply called classic massage because it is based on a collection of traditional massage techniques. It is often recommended for people who have never had a massage before.

This treatment usually covers the whole body and both relaxes and stimulates the body at the same time.

In my own work, I especially enjoy combining different techniques to create the best experience for each client.

I like to eat eggs almost every day.
Eggs are a wonderful source of protein and they can be eaten in many different ways: boiled, poached, fried, scrambled, or as omelettes — there is no way to get bored with them.

They are a great source of both protein and healthy fats. Eggs are also rich in important nutrients such as vitamin B12, vitamin D, and choline, which support brain and nervous system health. They help keep you full for longer and support muscle recovery, which is especially important if you train regularly.

Love this breakfast — eggs on a bagel! Made by my partner 🫶

A fantastic option if you want to order something in a café. You can never go wrong with a poached egg on a slice of wholemeal toast.

✨Thyroid in Reflexology ✨

In reflexology, the location of the thyroid reflex point on the foot can sometimes vary depending on the school or training method. Different reflexology traditions may map this area slightly differently.

In my practice, I follow the approach I learned during my training at White Rose Academy College, as well as the information provided by the Polish Institute of Reflexology.

The area I marked with a star is present on both feet. In reflexology, this region is associated with the thyroid gland, but also more broadly with the throat, neck and the back of the neck (nape).

Sometimes I notice that this area on a client’s foot feels slightly raised or a little firmer under the fingers. When this happens, I often ask whether the client has experienced any thyroid issues. Quite often, this observation corresponds with conditions such as hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism.

The thyroid gland plays a crucial role in women’s health because it regulates metabolism, energy production and hormonal balance. When the thyroid does not function properly, it can contribute to fatigue, weight changes, mood fluctuations and other hormonal symptoms.

✨Hot Stones – one of my favourite tools in massage therapy ♨️

Many people think that hot stone massage is only for relaxation. And yes – the warmth of the stones melts tension, calms the nervous system and creates a deeply soothing experience.

But I love using hot stones in a more creative and therapeutic way.

For me, stones are not only for relaxing strokes. They are also a powerful tool that can be combined with manual techniques. If a client prefers a deeper treatment, I can easily blend Hot Stones with Deep Tissue work.

The heat helps the muscles soften faster, which allows me to work deeper while keeping the body relaxed.

Of course, you can learn many techniques during courses and workshops – but technique alone is not everything.
Without intuition, sensitivity and a bit of imagination, massage becomes just… average.

Every body is different.

That’s why during my treatments I like to combine different techniques, choosing what feels right for the client in that exact moment.

And honestly… I simply love working with hot stones.
They’re beautifully warm, deeply relaxing and make the treatment feel truly special.

✨ Massage should never feel routine.
It should feel personal.
