On Sunday I dropped by Damhouse into Merly’s Kitchen CIC with my lovely friend for Coffee.

Of course, there were even more familiar faces popped in there while we enjoyed our coffees.

As always the welcome was warm, the service friendly and the coffee excellent!!

The decision to close the place left the community 'gutted'

The girls club life CIC is coming to LEIGH! We have collaborated with Compassion in action Charity to provide a safe space and support session every week. A place that is rooted in mental health, wellbeing, and emotional support, giving women a place where they feel seen, heard, and understood.

Here, it’s okay to not be okay. It’s okay to have big feelings. It’s okay to need support. Through open conversations, and sisterhood, we help women build confidence, resilience, and healthy ways to cope with life’s ups and downs.

No pressure. No judgement. Just a space to belong, heal, and thrive.

Leigh, a new chapter of support, strength, and sisterhood is on the way 💖

Okay whaaaaaat happened to this week already, where did the time go?

Friday is my favourite day of the week for lots of reasons, mainly after working Saturdays for a number of years and not getting to share "that Friday Feeling" for so long. My Friday's and Saturdays now are my favourite days of the week.

Today is a mix of wonderful clients face to face and Zoom so I'm feeling extra grateful for technology this week.

I'm feeling very very blessed today!

Good days, good people, good situations.

Focusing on the good.

Happy Friday!

We are delighted to share this wonderful Spring Ball in aid of our lovely charity.

Over the last 18 months the Kidneys for Life team have been fortunate enough to be able to get to know Phillip Kinsella and his family and we are honoured that they have chosen to organise this special event to coincide with World Kidney Day on March 12th.

Please take a moment to read Phillips story and if you can, join the Kidney for Life Team on the evening, it would be great to see you.

All booking details are below 💜

March 2026, GLP Consulting Engineers and Robert Whetham Associates are hosting an event with a purpose - inspired by the personal journey of myself and we would love you to join us!

In early 2024, I was diagnosed with Goodpasture's Syndrome and spent three months at Manchester Royal Infirmary undergoing intensive treatment, including plasma exchange, dialysis, and chemotherapy.
While the treatment saved my life, it left me with permanent kidney damage and I have been undergoing four hours of dialysis, three times a week. Two years on, I am now on the kidney transplant waiting list.

Through all of this, Kidneys for Life has been there - supporting groundbreaking research and care for me and other kidney patients like me. Their work, alongside the incredible NHS, has been central to my recovery journey. This ball is my way of giving back, helping other families facing the same fight, and raising awareness.

The details:
Spring Ball in Aid of Kidneys for Life
Date: Friday 13 March 2026
Venue: VOCO Manchester – City Centre, Portland Street
Time: Arrival 7:00pm – Carriages at midnight
Tickets: £75 per person

The evening will include a three-course dinner, entertainment, raffle, auction, tombola, games, and a live DJ until late, with all proceeds going directly to Kidneys for Life.
To reserve tickets or a table, please reply to Andrea Parle at aparle@glpartnership.co.uk and you will be sent over the booking/attendance form (including dietary requirements)

Thank you for considering supporting this cause – it genuinely means the world to me, and to everyone who depends on kidney research and patient care. It’s going to be a fabulous night!

Counselling and Psychotherapy

I can provide a safe, confidential environment for you to talk through issues which may be holding you back, things that you would rather not discuss with family or friends.

You can talk openly and honestly without judgement and be treated with empathy and compassion. Working through life’s challenges with a therapist can help you see things in their true perspective. It can help you rediscover your true self, allowing you to regain confidence and self-esteem.
