Residents recently enjoyed a tee-riffic afternoon of fun! ⛳🎈
From golf-target balloon🎈 tennis to a classic tin-can alley challenge, there was no shortage of smiles. 😄

Residents David and Ronald had a ball 🏐with their friendly game of balloon catch 🎈🤝, while residents Margaret Vera and Maureen were on a can-do mission at tin-can alley! 🎯🥫

The afternoon rounded off perfectly👌 with a relaxing game of dominoes 🁫🁬—proving that days like this truly stack up to something special.

Filled with laughter, friendship and feel-good moments. 💖✨

“The residents went from memory lane to memory cards spotting classic stars✨️ from Singing🎶 in the Rain, Quo Vadis, Dr. Zhivago, Casablanca and more! 🎬🎥📽

Residents Ruth and Rodney recognised plenty Rodney was all shook up over Jailhouse Rock,🤘🎸 while his wife took The 39 Steps back into cinema🎬 history with a smile. ☺️

Resident Hugh chimed in that he’s always liked👍👌 On the Waterfront and was telling🗣 his daughter Jayne all about the films🎬📽 he enjoyed saying the old 🎥📽🎬movies were an absolute belter! 🎞️😉

Resident Arthur recognised one of the cards which was his favourite film African queen.

Turns out their screen time isn’t scrolling… it’s rolling!”

Activities Coordinator Manny asked the residents if they’d like to spread a little kindness for World🌏 Kindness Day 😊and they bagged the idea right away! 😉🛍️

Residents made small homemade gift bags to give to the nurses👩‍⚕️ and professionals who visit the home.🏠
Residents Ronald and Christian thoughtfully filled theirs with a sachet of coffee,☕️ a sweet little card, and of course… a bar of chocolate🍫 (because kindness😊 is always better coated in chocolate! 🍫💛)

When physio Rebecca arrived, Christian proudly handed her his gift.🍫☕️ She was touched☺️ and said it was “so lovely.”🫶❤️ Later, RNs Katie and Victoria visited, and residents John and Marjorie shared their gift bags as well.

It was heartwarming♥️ to see.👀 Residents shared how much they appreciate all the kind,😊 caring professionals who support everyone each day.

Moments like this remind us how powerful👍 simple gestures can be. 💖✨

Christmas Kindness - Some of our residents don’t have any family and we are appealing for help to give them a little gift this Christmas. 🎁🎄🎅 Presents can be something simple like body wash 🧼or a pair of socks 🧦. We will wrap the gift to go into the residents’ Christmas stockings (if you would like to bring the presents pre-wrapped that’s also great). Our residents also love a good festive tipple....beers, wine and spirits 🍻🍺🍷🥂🍾 to get them in the mood for the festive parties 💃🕺and the big day, any donations of alcohol beverages would be greatly appreciated and we promise you lots of pictures of the festive fun they have! 📸

Thanking you in advance for sharing Christmas kindness with the lovely residents who live at Leveredge Care Home. All donations can be left between 11am-4pm 😀🫶

“It was a men-u worth marching out for! 👨‍🍻

Activity Coordinator Manny took the residents on a good old-fashioned pub-grub adventure to The Three Pigeons, with Naomi from domestics joining in the fun.

Residents Christian, John and David proudly showed off their Pudsey badges they’d made.

Christian went all out with a Hunters Chicken and an ice-cold cider, while residents David and John kept it classic with fish, chips and mushy peas.

A proper lads’ day out full of banter, big smiles and even bigger appetites!”

Thankyou to the manager Steven and the staff for the excellent food and service.

🎨🐻 Community Spirit in Action!

This week activity coordinator Manny asked the residents if they would like to paint Pudsey Bear
badges to pin on their clothes for Fridays children in need and they were keen to this in supporting a good cause. 💛✨

Today they proudly showed off their Pudsey Bears.

Even kitchen assistant Sue-Ellen and senior care assistant Sam dressed for the occasion resident Ernest joined in the fun.

Everyone had a fantastic time getting creative, sharing smiles, and showing their Pudsey pride! 🌈🎨🐻

A Slice of Happiness 🎂🍰💖

Resident Alison celebrated her 82nd birthday 🎉🥳🎂with her lovely cheeky😊 smile 😄, surrounded by all her fellow residents! 🎶🎈 There was plenty of music,🎵🎼 laughter,🤣 and joy🥰 filling the room.

Activity Coordinator Manny brought out the gorgeous (and absolutely massive!) cake 🍰 that her daughter Vicky had lovingly♥️ bought for her mum. 💕
Alison couldn’t believe how big it was and said to Manny, “This cake🍰 is very fancy!” 😆

Care Assistants Paige, April, Nayadak,and Ellie all came along to wish her a very happy birthday 🎁✨, and everyone enjoyed🥰♥️ every moment (and every bite!).

A BIG thank you 🙏 to all the amazing staff who came together to make the day so special teamwork truly makes the dream💭 cake 🍰work! 🎂💪

A Memorable Armistice Day ❤️🇬🇧

Activity Coordinator Manny and Mania from Domestics took residents David and Ronald on a special trip to Bolton Town Hall for the Armistice Day service.

It was a truly memorable day filled with reflection and pride. As we stood silently at 11am, the signal of the gunshot, and the sound of the bagpipes filled the air a moment none of us will forget.

Ronald proudly told us he’d once been with the RAF and David shared that he had served as a Corporal.

Their faces lit up with memories and stories from years gone by.

After the service, we admired the beautiful wreaths laid in remembrance, and were delighted to meet the Mayor of Bolton, David, and his lovely wife. We even had our photo taken together — a moment to treasure! 📸

To round off the day, we enjoyed a warm coffee and plenty of smiles. On the journey home, David and Ronald were beaming with happiness, still talking about shaking hands with the Mayor.

As Ronald said with a grin,

“I’ll be telling everyone about this!”
