Sunday Social at Lever Edge 💬☕
Today our Activity Coordinator, Emma, went round to see residents to chat about the activities they’ve enjoyed this week 🗣️💭 and to find out what they’d like to do in the upcoming week 📅✨

Jean said she would like to do some knitting 🧶, while residents Ruth and Paula shared that they love bingo 🎱❤️. Resident Valeria and Emma have also planned to do an exercise class this afternoon 🏃‍♀️💪 after resident Hilda suggested she would like to do more exercising 😊

Taking time to reflect on the week is so important 💙 as it gives residents the opportunity to share their thoughts, feel heard, and celebrate what they’ve enjoyed 🌟. Planning the week ahead together helps ensure activities are meaningful, engaging, and tailored to everyone’s interests and wellbeing 🤝✨

What a lovely day out today for resident Josie and our Activity Coordinator Emma from Lever Edge! 🌟

We headed off to Bolton for a shopping trip, with our first stop at Primark — Josie’s absolute favourite! 🛍️ We truly shopped till we dropped and picked up some gorgeous new outfits.

Next, we stopped at Mr Chatt’s, where Josie enjoyed her favourite butterfly chicken 🍽️. She said, “Oh this is lovely,” and even asked them to pop the rest in a takeaway bag so she could enjoy it later at home.

We then made a stop at Costa, where Josie had a black coffee ☕ and her and Emma had a right good laugh. Josie was sharing some brilliant tales “from back in her day,” keeping Emma entertained the whole time!

When we arrived back home, Emma set out Josie’s new clothes ready for tomorrow, and Josie said, “I’m going to look gorgeous in them tomorrow.” 💃✨

On the way home Josie said, “Thank you so much for this, Emma. I’ve had a right good day — we haven’t stopped laughing.”

Days like these really do mean the world 💕

Special Resident of the Day Resident Edna 🌟
Today was all about celebrating Edna 💕 When activity coordinator Manny asked her what she would like to do today resident Edna knew exactly what she wanted. She chose to have her hair done and enjoyed some knitting — a true passion of hers and one she is an absolute expert at 🧶✨
✂️ Hair Time with Kitty ✂️
The lovely hairdresser Kitty worked her magic, making sure Edna felt pampered and fabulous. With a fresh hairstyle and great company, Edna enjoyed every moment of being spoiled 💇‍♀️💖
💅 Finishing Touches 💅
To complete her special day, Edna also had her nails painted by Manny, adding the perfect finishing touch. Relaxing, chatting, and enjoying a little extra care made the day even more meaningful 🌸✨

We are incredibly proud 👏👏to share that we were chosen to attend this year’s NAPA Year of Culture Conference. Being selected to represent our organisation was a huge honour and reflects the dedication, creativity, and hard work of our amazing team.🥰
Attending the conference was a truly inspiring and valuable experience. It gave us the opportunity to celebrate🎉 culture, share ideas, and bring back new inspiration to enhance the wellbeing and experiences of those living in our home. 🏡We are delighted to have displayed this achievement👏🥰 on our home’s board to share our pride with residents, families, visitors, and staff.

💙 Dignity Action Day Three Deeds, One Beautiful Tree 💙
On Dignity Action Day, our home proudly took part in the Three Deeds activity, focusing on dignity, connection, and person-centred care. It was a day filled with colour, 🌈creativity, conversation, and meaningful moments that truly warmed everyone’s hearts 💙🌈✨
Activity coordinator Manny invited residents to take part in hand✋️🤚 painting,🎨🖌 and resident Anne and Doreen jumped straight in with big smiles😊They carefully painted their hands 👐and proudly placed their handprints on their Dignity Tree🌳 what they had drawn leaving a lasting symbol of who they are and the value they bring.
Residents Jean, David, and Val also joined in by colouring🎨🖌 handprints, each adding their own personal touch. Every handprint told a story a reminder that every individual matters and deserves dignity 🤲💛.
Manny had prepared words related to dignity, and resident Valerie thoughtfully chose the words that best described what dignity means to her. She carefully placed them onto the tree🌳 and even wrote some of her own, expressing herself beautifully and confidently 🌿✍️.
Later, Manny hosted a lovely Digni-Tea morning with residents ☕🍰. Together, everyone enjoyed delicious cakes, tea, and of course coffee, while chatting💬 openly about what dignity means to them. It was a relaxed, welcoming space filled with laughter, listening, and shared understanding 💬💙.

The day reminded us that dignity lives in the small things being heard, being respected, and being treated as an individual. A truly special Dignity Action Day shared together 💙🌳
