Friday night at Milnshaw House came with a little extra flavour 🌶️

Staff and the people we support headed out together for a meal at a local Indian restaurant in a chance to relax, catch up, and enjoy great food in even better company. Everyone loves these opportunities to come together, and the group is already looking forward to planning the next outing.

Meet Craig, a courageous 59-year-old who joined Holland House in August 2024.

He arrived during a challenging time: living with schizoaffective disorder, battling severe anxiety and depression, disconnected from loved ones, and in need of daily-living support.

With person-centred care, he’s rebuilt daily-living skills, rediscovered his love for music and photography, and gained confidence step by step.

6 months on: Craig is now moving into a new supported-living placement - a huge milestone in his recovery.

Two people we support at Radcliffe Lodge, Michael and Claire, were joined by staff member Michael to spend the day in Bradford exploring the National Science and Media Museum.

Right in the centre of the city, the museum digs into the science and culture behind light and sound, and how these technologies shape everyday life. Everyone got a lot from the visit, and Claire summed it up perfectly: “I came here a long long time ago - it was really interesting and well worth a visit.”

Northern Healthcare | Our Story

Northern Healthcare is a specialist provider of enhanced supported living services. Our multi-disciplinary teams care for people who may need day-to-day support due to their mental health, a learning disability or brain injury.

Established in 2013 with the opening of our first supported residential service, we have expanded across the UK and now have over 15 enhanced supported living facilities. We are privileged to be able to support our residents and we are dedicated to growing our reach across the UK, improving our residents’ quality of life and delivering the highest quality of care.

We work in partnership with external practitioners and community care teams to ensure robust risk management, and ultimately the best possible outcomes for all our residents.

Our aims are always as unique as each individual we support. We pride ourselves on our clinically led, recovery focused model, which provides individuals with access to high-quality nursing, occupational and psychological therapies, as well as dedicated 24-hour support. We develop care plans alongside our residents; their personal goals and aspirations are always at the heart of everything we do.
