🌍 World AMR Awareness Week | 18–24 November
Theme: Act Now – Protect Our Present, Secure Our Future

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is one of the biggest threats to global health today. When bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites become resistant to medicines, infections become harder to treat - putting lives, food security, and the environment at risk.

This week, we’re joining the global call to action. Everyone has a role to play - from healthcare professionals to farmers, veterinarians, and local communities. Together, we can protect the medicines that protect us all.

Do:

✅Only take antibiotics prescribed for you

✅Ask if your prescribed antibiotics are the preferred first-line treatment

✅Prevent infections by washing your hands and keeping up to date with vaccinations

✅Complete the full course if prescribed

Don’t:

❌ Use antibiotics for colds or flu - they don’t treat viruses

❌ Share your antibiotics with others

❌ Save leftover antibiotics for later

The nasal flu vaccine is quick, painless, and helps protect your child throughout the winter season.

If your child missed their previous appointment, this is a perfect opportunity to get them protected.
