I’m honoured to be invited to speak at the Skin of Colour Society Meeting on 30 January 2026, taking place at the Royal Society of Medicine in London.
This event marks an exciting milestone—the very first SOCTUK x Psychodermatology UK Joint Symposium. The Skin of Colour Training UK has curated a powerful one-day programme exploring Hair, Skin and Psyche in skin of colour—an area that has long been overlooked but is absolutely essential to delivering equitable, high-quality care.
Expect a full day of interactive learning and an expert-led MDT case discussion.
I’m truly excited to share me talk on trichoscopy and to learn from so many colleagues committed to advancing inclusive dermatology.
Thank you to the organisers for creating such an important platform. Looking forward to an inspiring day in London!

Honoured to attend the recent Obagi Ambassador Event!
Choosing the right skincare for our patients is so important in supporting long-term skin health. It was truly inspiring to hear from Dr Susan Obagi, Professor of Dermatology at the University of Pittsburgh, who shared insights on what could be the future of skincare — restoring cellular intelligence, and reducing oxidative stress and inflammation at the cellular level.
It was also a wonderful reunion with Dr Susan Obagi, after spending time with her at her dermatology centre in Pittsburgh 10 years ago. Her dedication to advancing skin science continues to inspire me today. 💙

Highlights of an amazing day at the St John’s DermAcademy on Acne Masterclass — an event designed to upskill UK dermatologists in the management of acne.
We explored the updated pathophysiology of acne, including the fascinating discovery that there are different strains of C. acnes — both good and bad.
It was exciting to learn about the latest and upcoming treatments in acne, which are paving the way for more personalised and effective care for patients.
And to top it off — I was so touched to receive a message from my dear dermatologist friend in Bermuda, who tuned in to my talk live on Zoom today!

With 60 face-to-face delegates and over 200 online participants registered, it’s inspiring to see so many colleagues coming together to learn, share, and push the boundaries of acne treatment.

Excited to have delivered an educational talk to GPs in Manchester on recognising and managing hair disorders.

In this talk, I covered these topics:
1. When to perform a scalp biopsy
2. Common hair disorders including:
 • Alopecia areata
 • Telogen effluvium
 • Androgenetic alopecia
 • Scarring

3. Key signs for GPs to look out for in patients presenting with hair loss

Raising awareness is so important — early recognition and referral can make a real difference in patient outcomes.

Happy Father’s Day 💙

To all the amazing dads around the world — thank you for your endless love, support, and inspiration.

Here I am with my dad, the person who first sparked my passion for dermatology. Back when I was a medical student, he would often share his dermatology books with me — small gestures that planted the seeds of a lifelong career. As a GP with a special interest in dermatology himself, he’s been both my role model and my biggest cheerleader.

This photo was taken at the 5 Continent Congress — a truly special moment. My dad had come to support me as I gave a talk at the conference. Seeing him there, sitting in the audience, filled me with so much joy. It’s a moment I’ll always treasure.
