Let's hear from Sarah, Team Leader for Children's Community Nursing Services for Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale, about the importance of getting your child vaccinated against flu this winter.

The children's flu vaccine is a quick, painless flu nasal spray - but remember to complete the consent form from school.

Keep them protected. Head to the link in the comments or search 'NHS GM winter vaccinations'.

We took a moment to slow down in Broadfield Park, right in the heart of Rochdale.

Important message from Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust about their Emergency Departments.

Please remember that the Emergency Department is for serious and life threatening emergencies only.

If you require help and it doesn't fit into this category, please use alternative services. NHS 111 is always the best place to start if you are not sure - online or give them a call - and they can direct you to the best place.

- If you need help in British Sign Language (BSL) an NHS 111 SignVideo service is available.
- If you have a hearing problem, use text relay. Call 18001 111 using the Relay UK App or a text phone.

Our Emergency Departments are currently very busy. There are a lot of poorly patients and our colleagues are doing their very best to see and treat everyone as quickly as they can, so please be patient and kind.

If you have been waiting a long time, we are very sorry. We are treating those with life-threatening and critical illnesses/injuries. If you are feeling unwell, there may be a more appropriate service that can help you faster, if you are unsure what to do visit 111 online. 111.nhs.uk
