“How was your day?”
“Good.”

Many parents recognise this conversation.

Narrative intervention supports children to develop the skills they need to talk about their experiences, organise their ideas and share information with others.

It’s not just about imaginative storytelling, it’s about helping children explain what happened at school, share their weekend news with friends and feel confident communicating their thoughts.

Training future SALTs is one of our favourite parts of the job!

We were thrilled to welcome MSc students Leia and Martha for their recent placement with us—and even happier to hear how much the experience meant to them.

We’re proud to offer hands on experience within schools and clinic, supportive supervision, and real world learning opportunities across our service.

Here’s to the future generation of compassionate, skilled therapists💚🧑‍🎓

🏮Happy Lunar New Year!🏮

We’re sending our warmest well wishes to all the families celebrating this special event and welcoming in the year of the horse.

Horses are known for their courage, energy and amazing ways of communicating. They whinny, neigh, stomp and swish their tails to share how they feel.

We’re helping our children explore their own communication styles too, using words, play, gestures and AAC to connect with others.

The Year of the Horse symbolises confidence, connection and forward momentum — a lovely reminder of the journey children take as they grow their communication skills.

Here’s to confident little communicators, trotting forward one step at a time 🐴💛

Last week in one of our settings, the session was all about building confidence when speaking to different people in school 💬✨

We explored what anxious feelings really look and feel like inside our own bodies and talked about how this is different for everyone.

We then had some great fun creating our very own Worry Monster to help gobble up those tricky thoughts. I'm sure you'll agree our monsters are excellent!

We have been feeling creative this January! 💭

After some inspiring training from , we have been exploring using AI tools to create bespoke images to help our students access the curriculum, develop their speech sounds and engage in interactive games.

We've also been using the dual language templates on to create accessible home language resources for all of the family.

It’s all about making communication accessible, meaningful and beautifully individual for every child we work with. 💪💬

🧠 Brain Breaks Matter!
Short, purposeful breaks during learning aren’t just fun—they’re essential! They help children regulate emotions, reset attention, and return to tasks with better focus and energy.

Whether it’s a quick stretch, a movement game, or a mindful moment, these breaks support both learning and wellbeing in the classroom.

Let’s make space for the brain to breathe! 🌟
