Founded in 1993, The Life Centre is a friendly haven, where yoga and Pilates inspire well-being and a community spirit. Stop ‘holding’ it all together!!

Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE) is a unique and innovative approach to stress reduction and trauma healing developed by Dr. David Berceli, a trauma therapist and body worker.

TRE consists of a series of simple exercises designed to activate the body’s natural tremor mechanism, facilitating the release of tension, stress, and trauma stored in the muscles and nervous system.

This 10 x 60 minute programme is designed to cover all the main bases which you may feel anxious about such as breathing, moving, speaking aloud, getting overwhelmed, panic attacks and storytelling.

Each session will include a little bit of individual performance in order to up your exposure and reduce fear. However there is no pressure to do anything, and this course is suitable for you even if you are too scared to speak at all prior to attending.

The course seeks to reframe the experience of performing into being about fun and engagement rather than pressure. As such it includes drama-inspired games, as well as exploring body language, breathwork, storytelling, movement and authenticity.
