🌟 Part-Time Activities Coordinator (3 Days per Week)
Diverse Active Living Day Service – Stretford, Trafford
Are you energetic, creative, caring and love bringing people together?
Diverse Active Living is a vibrant, community-focused day service supporting older adults and individuals with additional support needs to live active, social and meaningful lives. We are looking for a positive, hands-on Activities Coordinator to join our friendly team for 3 days per week at our new, larger premises in Stretford.
This is not a desk job — this is a role for someone who enjoys getting stuck in, leading from the front, and creating days full of laughter, engagement and purpose.
💛 About the Role
You will plan and lead engaging daily activities that promote:
Social interaction and friendships
Physical movement and wellbeing
Creativity and fun
Routine and supportive structure
From balloon tennis and quizzes to crafts, baking, gardening, music sessions and community outings — no two days are the same at Diverse!
You will be actively involved with our service users throughout the day, encouraging participation, supporting individual needs, and helping to create a warm, inclusive atmosphere.
🧩 Key Responsibilities
Plan, organise and lead a varied weekly activity programme
Adapt activities to suit different abilities and interests
Support service users with encouragement and inclusion
Help prepare materials for sessions (crafts, games, cooking etc.)
Work as part of a close, supportive team
Assist with setting up and tidying activity spaces
Support occasional themed days, events and community projects
Promote a happy, safe and welcoming environment

Reliable and enthusiastic
Comfortable being active and on their feet
Passionate about making a difference to people’s day
Experience in care, support work, education, youth work, or community roles is helpful but personality and attitude are just as important.
📅 Hours
3 set days per week (to be discussed)
Daytime hours only – no evenings or weekends
