πŸ₯³ Wishing you all a happy and healthy New Year!

2025 has been a special year for us as we celebrated 15 years of WGN! Huge thanks to everyone who has supported us over the years and throughout 2025: our WGN Members and Volunteers; Co-op Members who raised funds for our group; community partners and venues; everyone who follows/likes us on our socials, and, of course, our core funders, Manchester City Council - plus project funders inc. Wythenshawe Neighbourhood Investment Fund, Age Friendly Manchester and Wythenshawe Community Housing Group. πŸ™

Here's to continued community connections, friendships and support in 2026!

At our Gather, Eat and Move lunch yesterday, everyone enjoyed a free, nutritious, hot meal - home cooked by The Northenden Social Club chef.

We invited Manchester Local Care Organisation Neighbourhood Health Champions to join us. They were fantastic and offered blood pressure tests, with follow-up advice, along with health screening information. They also signposted people to cost of living advice services etc.
Our thanks to them, and our Gather, Eat and Move project funders Manchester City Council AFM Team and Wythenshawe Community Housing Group

For our Gather, Eat and Move project (funded by Manchester City Council Age Friendly Board & Wythenshawe Community Housing Group ) the South Manchester Community Falls Team visited our community lunch today at Northenden Social Club .

There was lots of interest in the falls prevention advice they gave and the printed resources and support materials. They also demonstrated a few simple chair exercises to our Members and changed the ferrules on walking sticks. Excellent! πŸ‘Œ
