We are advising the public to avoid the area to prevent delays to your journey.

Public transport is being diverted and we are working with partners to minimise impact.

| Officers from spotted a male on a suspected stolen 'Bee Bike' near to Ellesmere Road yesterday. The male tried to dump the bike and make off but was quickly detained by our team.

He was found to be wanted x 4 and was also in possession of a lock knife.

Suffice to say he's got an appointment with the Magistrates Court this morning.

The Bee Network bikes are there to be used by the entire community and we will not tolerate them being stolen or damaged. This prevents them being used by those that need them for Transport purposes.

Robbery around Lapwing Lane, Withington area

Officers attended a report where a delivery driver has had his vehicle stolen whilst he has been delivering parcels. Even if you leave your vehicle for just a minute, turn the engine off and lock the doors. Don't become another statistic of this sort of crime

Advice for couriers on how to keep their delivery vehicle and deliveries safe.
