Company Profile

CES (formerly known as Special Projects Security) was founded in 1989 in direct response to the Governments call for improvements in safety at football grounds in the wake of the Hillsborough disaster and the ensuing Taylor Report. The company's first and now longest standing client is Manchester United Football Club. It was quickly realized however that the valuable lessons and principals learnt from managing large crowds at Old Trafford could be applied in other arenas and venues. Consequently CES began to expand its business to those areas where large crowds came together for the purposes of watching sport or entertainment, and where customer safety was the primary consideration. Consequently, we place great emphasis on the interpersonal skills of our staff to ensure that they are able to deliver the highest standards of customer care and service within our varying environments. The provision of highly trained, accredited and licensed safety and security personnel to the sports, leisure and entertainment industry still remains the 'core' business of the group through CES. However, that company has now grown from its original mission statement through the incorporation of Controlled Guarding Solutions to include the guarding of sports, leisure and ancillary facilities (including key holding services), and Controlled Training Solutions, providing recognized training and accredited qualifications.

Congratulations to Scott Mungins who was nominated as employee of the month for February. Scott started working at CSG 2005 working in various sites and positions.

Scott goes above and beyond, works very hard and is a pleasure to work with, he adopts a positive attitude, and does a fantastic job in everything he does, not only do we love Scott but all our client love him too.

Congratulations to Damien Riley who was nominated as employee of the month for January. Damien started working at CSG in 2005 working in the Megastore.

Damien goes above and beyond, works very hard and is a pleasure to work with, Damien adopts a positive attitude, and does a fantastic job in everything he does, he is an absolute joy to work with, plus the client loves him too.

Huge thanks to Rob Coulthard and Judgement Index UK for running the latest CSG - Controlled Solutions Group Customer Service Training Course last week.
The feedback from the staff has been immense, taking them through insights and working practices to enhance their ability to interact with the general public in difficult environments.
Many CSG - Controlled Solutions Group staff are the first and last impression the general public will have of a venue or facility. Keeping the public and venue safe but also acting as an ambassador to our clients. We are seeing an uplift in influencer confrontation but at CSG - Controlled Solutions Group we aim to be able to deal with those interactions in a professional, mature manner.
At CSG - Controlled Solutions Group we take customer service extremely seriously. Our staff are there to provide that security presence but also to have those soft skills which are essential with brand protection.

*How to engage with the general public - CSG the first and last person will see or engage with at a venue/event
*Rapport building
*Understanding interpersonal skills
*How to understand and resolve a customer issue
*Recognise their contribution to the organisation's success - CSG providing a service as well a security provision
