What a wonderful day out for this week's: Walkie Talkie Park Buddy Project! 🌿

It brought a lovely group of ladies together at Crescent Meadow Park in Salford.

We enjoyed a relaxing riverside walk in the sunshine, treasuring the beauty of one of Salford’s lovely green spaces. The session wasn’t just about staying active—it was also about building connections, sharing conversations, and supporting one another.

To top it off, we finished with delicious tea and coffee in the park while socialising and unwinding together 💬☕

Exploring local parks while promoting wellbeing and community spirit is what this project is all about—and everyone involved truly had a 'Great' day!

Research is only effective when it includes everyone. 🤝

The Ethnic Health Forum was proud to facilitate the SAFE Path Study, a dedicated Community Engagement & Involvement (CEI) initiative. Our goal? Improving access to vital care for South Asian communities affected by psychosis. 💬

Inclusive starts with listening. During this session, we created a safe space to:
✅ Understand what clinical research looks like.
✅ Discuss how our communities can actively shape future studies.
✅ Share lived experiences to break the stigma around .

We are incredibly grateful for the honest contributions and ideas shared. Your voice is the key to achieving true .

How do you think we can make healthcare research more accessible in your local area? Let’s discuss below. 👇

Change doesn’t happen in a vacuum—it happens in rooms like this. 💡

A productive day at the Ethnic Health Forum HQ as we dive deep into co-designing a culturally competent, community-delivered model. 🤱🏾✨

It’s more than just a meeting; it’s about synthesizing evidence and lived experiences to ensure our ethnic communities get the care they truly deserve. From strengthening partnerships to mapping out our next big launch, the energy today was focused on one thing: Equity.

We’re building something special.

We were proud to take part in the recent co-production workshop shaping the future of Adult Health and Social Care in Salford.

The event brought together community organisations, people with lived experience, carers, and partners to share insights and help co-design a more inclusive and person-centred system.

We were pleased to contribute our experience working with diverse communities — highlighting what is working well, as well as the barriers that still need to be addressed. Conversations were focused on prevention, improving access, and strengthening community-based support.

A big thank you to Jordan Moore and Salford City Council for the invitation and for creating space for meaningful collaboration.

We look forward to continuing this important work and supporting positive change across Salford.

Community Connections in Longsight💬

This week, we spent time at Longsight Children’s Community Centre meeting with Family Hub representative Rezwana and community members to introduce the work of Ethnic Health Forum.

We had meaningful conversations about strengthening support for families from ethnic minority backgrounds. We’re excited about the opportunities to collaborate and strengthen pathways to culturally responsive health support.

Thank you to Nasreen and Rezwana, who shared their time and insights. 💫

Join us every Wednesday, 10–1pm.

We had the pleasure of presenting at the Research Capacity and Capability Programme (RCCP) at The University of Manchester .

We shared our project, Happy Homes: Perinatal Peer, Psychosocial and Welfare Support Addressing Racial and Ethnic Inequalities in Wellbeing.

This work presents practice-based evidence from a culturally adapted, community-led perinatal intervention aimed at addressing structural inequalities. Through a retrospective assessment, we examined changes in perinatal wellbeing, social support, and access to welfare advice among participants.

The RCCP weekly hybrid meetings, led by Professor Nusrat Husain, provide an excellent platform for researchers across the UK and internationally to connect, exchange ideas, and stay updated on the latest developments in .

The Happy Homes project, delivered by Ethnic Health Forum in Manchester, is a promising initiative that will support families over the next three years, helping to address challenges during the perinatal period within ethnic minority communities.

Stay tuned for this journey with us!
