Today at Burrswood we celebrated Children In Need by wearing our comfy pajamas or wearing something yellow. The residents enjoyed a pamper session this morning and then this afternoon we decorated some biscuits 😋 yummy! We had an amazing day celebrating and donating for a fantastic charity.

Today at Burrswood, we enjoyed celebrating World Kindness Day! 🥳 We kicked things off with some yummy treats and party bits that made everyone smile. 😊 There were so many kind words and positive messages shared, it was truly heartwarming. 🥰 It's amazing how a little bit of kindness can brighten everyone's day. Today at Burrswood we have been creative by making our own firework pictures with paint and lots of glitter and joining in with colouring some firework pictures. We also enjoyed our afternoon treat with some Parkin, fruit rockets, chocolate sparklers, marshmallows and chocolate 😋

Our Story

Burrswood is made up of four separate houses, with each one offering a different level of care – Key House offers residential dementia care, Peel House is for nursing dementia care, Dunster House provides general nursing and Crompton House offers residential care.

We pride ourselves on the warm, friendly atmosphere you'll find when you come to Burrswood and we believe it's the perfect place to stay for either long or short-term care.

Situated in Walmersley near Bury, there's plenty of opportunity to get out and about locally, with trips into the town of Bury (with its famous market), the Royal Fusiliers museum and Burrs Country Park all being close to hand.
