Akoma Healing H’Arts provides a space for you to work on your difficulties and find creative solutions. Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy. It can help when it is difficult to find the words and talk about how you feel. My name is Olatunde Spence I am a qualified and registered Art Psychotherapist. I run Akoma Healing H’Arts using creativity to connect, inspire and heal. I have lived experienc

e of emotional and psychological distress. I have worked with children and adults for over 30 years working with community groups and individuals to promote health and wellbeing through creativity and connection. I have worked with children in schools and youth clubs who have experienced difficulties in their lives e.g. bullying, loss, trauma, etc. I have provided support to adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, isolation, long term physical health problems, negative or distressing voices, parenting and relationship conflicts. As a therapist I am committed to working with individuals and groups who have experienced adversity, isolation and discrimination. By bringing people together to value life experiences, share stories and reduce isolation we develop resilience and improve our health. I am HCPC Registered and Fully Insured. A Member of the British Association of Art Therapists and a Member of Black and Asian Therapists Network.

Join us every Wednesday for a ONE Hour Free Workshop.

Many autistic and ADHD students face stress in school due to sensory overload,
exclusion, or unrealistic expectations. From a neurodiversity perspective, schools must
adapt, not children.

"There’s a lot we don’t know about medicines. Research for The Journal of the American Medical Association has shown that, in many cases, doctors prescribe medication with little knowledge as to whether it will actually help a patient".

‘We don’t know enough about puberty blockers to prescribe them to children’
As you are reading this, the NHS doctors and practitioners are handing out puberty suppressants quite legally and uncontroversially to children facing precocious puberty, a disease that causes puberty to begin too early.

It’s irrelevant whether or not you believe precocious puberty is a more justifiable reason to be allowed to take puberty blockers. Medical professionals have deemed the drugs safe enough to prescribe to children as young as eight, with their gender identity making no difference.

Ahead of the NHS PATHWAYs puberty blockers trial, PinkNews debunks six lies commonly told about puberty blockers.

We are keen to reach as many people as possible, so please do share this information with your supporters, colleagues and community members.
