Third time’s the charm 👌🏻

When Curtis first came to see us in 2019, he’d already had two previous hair transplant procedures at other clinics - both with disappointing results. In fact, his second surgery had been just four weeks before his consultation with us.

At that stage, we advised him to give the transplant time to settle and let the results develop naturally. Then, five years later, in 2024, Curtis returned, ready to finally achieve the outcome he’d been hoping for all along.

Under the care of Dr Rachael Kay, Curtis underwent a refined FUE procedure of 1,414 grafts (around 3,000 hairs) to restore his hairline and frontal forelock.

Your results (and your safety) depend on knowing what to avoid. Not every clinic is as transparent as it should be.

🚫 1. No mention of the doctor 
Always check who will actually perform your surgery. Qualified surgeons should be clearly named and registered. If that information is missing, it’s a major red flag.

🚫 2. Stolen or stock images 
If the before-and-after photos look too perfect, or you’ve seen them on other pages, they’re probably not genuine. We’ve even seen our own images used by another clinic pretending the work was theirs - it happens more often than you’d think.

🚫 3. Unrealistic promises 
“No downtime” or “guaranteed results”? Run. A trustworthy clinic will explain that every procedure carries some level of risk and requires proper recovery time.

🚫 4. Prices that seem too good to be true 
Cheaper isn’t safer. Low prices can mean corners are being cut - in safety standards, surgical expertise or aftercare quality.

🚫 5. No clear aftercare plan 
Your care shouldn’t end when the surgery does. A reputable clinic will give you detailed aftercare instructions and follow-up appointments to ensure the best possible outcome.

🚫 6. Pressure to book fast 
Ethical clinics will never rush you into making a decision. You should always have time to think, ask questions, and feel confident in your choice.

🚨 Model Makeover 🚨

Matt has been the face of global brands for 20+ years. But behind the cameras, hair loss was threatening his career.

In 2019, at 36, came to us for help with his receding temples. In 2020, we performed an FUE hair transplant with 1,500+ grafts (around 3,500 hairs). With the additional support of hair loss medication, he’s maintained the rest of his hair beautifully.

🌀Hairline & Crown Restoration ✨

Tim Samuels, award-winning documentary maker, author and broadcaster, first approached us in 2018 at 42, seeking to restore his crown. By then, he’d already had 2 successful FUT procedures in the USA for his hairline and frontal scalp, and was maintaining the rest with topical minoxidil.

In 2022, Tim returned for an FUE procedure to fill his crown and a small touch-up behind his left hairline - 1,656 grafts containing 4,206 hairs. The results? Natural, full and perfectly balanced.

Tim also shared his experience publicly in the Evening Standard in 2023, helping others understand the emotional and professional impact of hair restoration. We’ll put a link in our stories shortly if you’d like to read.

Meet Alex 👋🏻

Alex came to us in 2022 when he was only 30 years old. He’d lost a significant amount of hair, leaving him with a narrow band of safe donor hair.

He underwent two FUE hair transplant procedures in 2022 and 2023 (approx 10,000 hairs) at our Manchester clinic.

The after photos you see here are 15 months after the second procedure, plus consistent use of non-surgical treatments including oral finasteride and minoxidil.
