Elvis was in the building yesterday, Lewis absolutely nailed it. This young man is so talented. The residents enjoyed every moment of the show.

We had lots of dancing, singing and happy faces. Memories came flooding back of the 50s and 60s with our residents later talking about how they would go out to the dance halls and dance the night away.

On the Willows unit we've had a creative day decorating easter bonnets ready for our Easter Bonnet Competition. We got quite messy but I think you will agree they are all worth it.

The residents were happily socialising, joking and laughing whilst happily reminiscing over fond memories.

We had such a blast with our Irish/St Patricks Day props, with everyone havin a blast and then the amazing Stephen Tew - Singer came and took the roof off with Irish some well known Irish songs with a mix of our favourite music to get them toes tapping, hands clapping and people on the dance floor.

Stephen blew us away with Danny boy that we even asked him to do it again at the end.

This week at the Lodge we celebrated St Patricks day tied in with our Travel to Ireland. We were all busy in preparation doing the decor and the kitchen staff doing an amazing job with Irish stew, green dumplings and Irish soup. For puddings they made some beautifully decorated Irish cup cakes and Irish jellies.

The residents got in to the Irish mood with Irish music and watched some river dancing too. We loved hearing those Irish accents around the building 🤣 "Top of the morning to ya" being the phase used the most. John was quick to tell us a few others too and loved that we were celebrating his home country.

Kelly our Front of House and her daughter are doing the Pretty Mudder challenge to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Most people have been touched by Cancer and know people that have been diagnosed, lost loved ones or have been diagnosed themselves.

A few of our residents have made the most of the beautiful weather whilst relaxing in the garden, getting some Vitamin D and plenty of fresh air this afternoon. The conversations were flowing and there was lots of laughter too. 🌞 😃

We've had a lovely time at Titchfield Park and tea room today getting plenty of fresh air and enjoying the glorious weather. We've listened to the flowing river and taken in the beauty of the park whilst reminiscing and talking about where the river flows to. Our residents interacted with the little children, dog owners and their dogs too which were sure to bring lots of smiles.
