The lifeblood of any care home is its activities - which means it takes a special person to run a home's activities and events schedule and lead a team of enthusiastic and committed staff. Are you that person?

Willow Tree House is situated in the centre of Mansfield. It's a wonderful home, offering an innovative range of accommodation and activities to its residents. We are looking for an experienced Activities person who is either already in a leadership role or who thinks they can take on extra responsibility and lead a team. Easter Fun....

Wow, what a great Easter weekend we had at Willow Tree House. We threw a big party for residents, family, and friends. There was plenty of food and drink, as well as musical entertainment for everyone to enjoy. It was lovely to see everyone come together to enjoy the Easter season in such a nice way. We hope you enjoyed your Easter too.

Elvis Lives!.....

Well, he did for a day recently at Willow Tree House. Our residents were treated to a wonderful show with all the classic songs. There was lots of singing along and foot tapping as memories of gigs and dance halls of the past came flooding back. A great time was had by everyone.

Mother and Son....

This is a wonderful little video of our lovely resident, Sylvia, and her son Chris having a dance in the home. Chris is a singer on cruise ships and has just returned home from his most recent excursion. Sylvia was so happy to see him and have a dance for Mother's Day!

Artastic experience!

Willow Tree House residents had a visit from the fantastic guys at Creative Paths last week. They are giving our residents an 8-week art course focusing on watercolour painting. Our residents really engaged well with the course, and there were some really beautiful results. Not only did we have a good resident turn out but there were also people from our private apartments joining in - a great way to create new friendships.

What a day!

Never mind 'That'll be the Day'.....we had a terrific day at the home last week when a Buddy Holly tribute act came to entertain us. It was certainly a great show, with all the classics being performed. Of course, many of our residents can remember Buddy Holly in his prime, so they were more than happy to join in.
A wonderful musical treat and one we are sure to repeat.
