It’s OT Week and we’re celebrating the amazing work of our Occupational Therapy team at Askham Rehab!

Occupational Therapists help people rebuild independence and confidence through meaningful, everyday activities.

Diana’s journey is a brilliant example. After a surgical procedure and with arthritis, she worked with our team on personalised goals that focused on what mattered most to her, from kitchen and self-care tasks to hydrotherapy and fatigue management.

We’re so proud of everything she’s achieved and of our OT team for the difference they make every day.

Today we mark World Stroke Day, a chance to recognise the strength and determination of those rebuilding their lives after stroke.

We’re proud to have supported so many inspiring individuals, including Luke, who continues to make great progress towards independence, and Isabel, whose resilience and positivity have helped her overcome incredible challenges on her recovery journey.

With the support of our specialist rehab team, from physiotherapy and occupational therapy to robotics and hydrotherapy, every step forward is a step towards greater confidence and independence.

It’s been a week since our 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘹𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘕𝘦𝘶𝘳𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘩𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 and we’re still feeling so proud of what the day achieved! 👏

Together with our partners Irwin Mitchell, Headway Cambridge and Peterborough, and the East of England Trauma Network, we brought professionals, patients and exhibitors together to share knowledge, ideas and inspiration.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a success. We’re already excited for next year! 🙌

A warm cup of hot chocolate was just what everyone needed on a crisp autumn day! ☕🍫

At Askham Rehab, our hot chocolate trolley brought plenty of smiles as residents and team members enjoyed a cosy treat together.

Taking time to relax and connect helps create a calm, positive atmosphere that supports wellbeing and rehabilitation 🤎
