We were very happy to welcome Oakley from Pets As Therapy back to Askham Rehab last week 🦮

We recently welcomed residents and relatives to a menu tasting, offering an opportunity to share feedback and be involved in an important part of everyday life here 🍽️

Good nutrition plays a vital role in rehabilitation, supporting energy levels, recovery and overall wellbeing. These sessions also allow us to ensure meals reflect individual preferences and dietary requirements, helping residents feel comfortable and respected.

After sharing a little about Askham Court, we’re coming back to introduce the second of our specialist neurorehabilitation homes, Askham Grove 🏡

Askham Grove supports young people following brain injury, amputation or poly-trauma, offering personalised rehabilitation in an environment designed to promote independence. As part of the service, Askham Flats provide a supported step towards independent living within the wider community.

Some parts of rehabilitation are visible. Others are quieter.

Today is often referred to as Blue Monday but alongside physical recovery, many residents at Askham Rehab are adjusting to change, loss, uncertainty or fatigue.

But these experiences don’t follow a calendar. Emotional wellbeing is supported as part of everyday rehabilitation through our multi-disciplinary team, including clinical psychologists, who work alongside residents throughout their journey.

Support isn’t about having the “right” day. It’s about having the right people around you, consistently 💙

Askham Court is one of the two specialist neurorehabilitation homes within Askham Rehab 🏡

Set within seven acres of Cambridgeshire countryside, it supports young adults living with long-term, complex neurological conditions, including brain injury and spinal cord injury.

As a Level 2 Specialist Neuro Rehab Unit, Askham Court focuses on personalised rehabilitation, independence and a strong sense of community.
