Today, during our Christmas party, we were delighted to welcome some very special visitors!

Father Christmas and his elves stopped by to deliver presents to everyone at the party and to individuals at our care home🎅🏻✨

We are forever grateful to wonderful individuals like these gentlemen who take the time to spread joy to those who truly need it! March Rotary Club Thank You So Much 🫶🏻

Today our team from Aria Court Care Home, representing Athena Care Homes UK, spent a lovely morning at the Golden Age Fair 🎄

The event had live music, seasonal treats, and lots of useful information from local support services ✨

We enjoyed sharing what we do at Aria Court — from our care, coffee mornings and other activities that brighten our residents’ days. It was also a pleasure to connect with organisations including the Alzheimer's Society, Age UK Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, and local library services that offer dementia-friendly resources 🤝

Thank you to everyone who stopped by! We loved chatting with you and look forward to building on these connections for our residents and the wider community ❤️

Afternoon tea is a wonderful way to encourage socialising, boost wellbeing, and create a warm, welcoming space for everyone to connect ❤️

🫖 Our Forever Afternoon Tea is served every day in Aria Court’s café from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM 🫖

Our lovely hairdresser Pat now provides appointment cards✨

This change promotes independence, dignity and social engagement by allowing our residents have more control of their daily routines, staying engaged in their own self-care and having something to look forward too!💆🏻 It also brings back memories of when they were younger and used to go to the hairdressers😊

Jenny from Creative Mojo brought wonderful energy and creativity to our residents, making a truly heartwarming impact❤️

Her session inspired everyone to get hands-on and expressive as we crafted festive hanging decorations, along with reindeers and Santa’s sleigh🎅🏼

This activity encouraged social interaction, engagement and creativity. Her sessions are always filled with laughter which our residents enjoy.

Today we took a morning stroll down to the Seven Stars pub while the sun was shining and enjoyed a lovely cup of tea☕️. The residents had so much fun listening to the festive music in the background and socialising with one another! 🎶

Trips like these encourage mobility, communication and their overall wellbeing. They all had a lovely time and was speaking about what a pleasant morning it has been.😄

Whether you like to crochet & chat, knit & natter - an absolute beginner or know your stuff and just want to socialise this is for you 😊

We will have a teacher in twice a month to give guidance where needed, or to get you started!

The Happy Potters have been busy spreading Christmas cheer this week, teaming up with our wonderful maintenance team to decorate the front of our home. Together, they’ve been placing Christmas lights and adding festive touches that brighten the entrance for everyone who visits. Our residents had a wonderful time watching the pantomime performance of the musical Annie. The familiar songs and lively characters brought back many cherished memories, from childhood outings to the theatre to singing the beloved tunes with family. Laughter, nostalgia, and smiles filled the room as the story unfolded, creating a heartwarming morning that everyone enjoyed.❤️ We finished by singing some Christmas carols together🎅🏼🎶
