What is postpartum

Postnatal, fourth trimester, or more commonly known as so I guess I have a baby now?
The first three months of your baby’s life, and your first three months as a new parent. Whether your first time or if you’ve been there before, it’s a transformative time in your family.
It’s a time of kindness, gentleness, coziness and sleepiness. It’s a time to put your family first, there seems to be a lot of things we’re expected to do, like introduce the baby to the family. But remember, this is your time to build your family, don’t be afraid be “selfish”, ask your family and friends for food, provisions, a helping hand and not just come to hold the baby.
Here’s your permission to guard your postpartum and make it what you want it to be, not what other members of the family want it to be.
