💗Breast health is not about fear. It is about awareness.
⬇️
In the UK, most breast cancers occur in women over 50, which means 45 and over is the decade to become proactive, not passive.
What proactive looks like ⬇️
➡️ Lift weights
➡️ Walk daily
➡️ Keep alcohol low
➡️ Eat fibre
➡️ Sleep deeply
➡️ Know your normal
➡️ Attend screening
If you are under 45, build the habits now. Muscle, metabolic health, stress regulation and low inflammation are long term protective investments.
➡️ Prevention is not extreme.
It is consistent 🔁
I am grateful 🙏🏽 for the NHS especially when you look at the non-healthcare system in America 🇺🇸 right now. Here in the UK healthcare is a public service that we pay for through our taxes, & so it should stay this way a healthy population is stronger than an unhealthy one. The NHS is there for everyone & available when we ask for help.
➡️ Never feel you are wasting their time. Catching something early is more effective, more efficient and can save your life.
I believe in working with our healthcare system. Science and holistic practice. Medication 💊 and meditation 🧘🏻 Sometimes both are needed.
Women especially, are societally conditioned to suffer in silence as a sign of resilience & strength, I wonder who designed that idea 🤔 Pain is not a badge of honour. Your health is not a battle you have to endure alone.
Ask for help. Get checked. Choose yourself.
Be a Strong. Informed. Self aware women 💪🏾💪🏼
Becoming The Change (you want!) 🧘🏻
