We were delighted to welcome ZooLab to Sandmere Care Home for a truly hands-on animal experience! Our residents had the chance to see and learn about some fascinating creatures up close, and there were plenty of smiles, laughter, and moments of amazement throughout the session.

It was lovely to see everyone so engaged — our residents absolutely loved it ❤️

Today’s festive afternoon at Sandmere was nothing short of magical! Our kitchen team truly outdid themselves, serving up a wonderful selection of festive treats, including mince pies, mulled wine, chocolate cupcakes, and a refreshing glass of Buck’s Fizz. Alongside this, the sweet stall was a huge hit, offering a classic selection of old-school sweets that were thoroughly enjoyed by both residents and staff alike.

Adding to the festive cheer was our fantastic entertainer, Kelly, who kept everyone smiling with hours of singing all the Christmas favourites, sprinkled with some memorable classics that had everyone joining in. The atmosphere was full of laughter, warmth, and Christmas spirit, and residents had a truly lovely time.

The icing on the cake was a special visit from the Mayor of Margate, which made an already successful afternoon even more special.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in creating such a joyful and memorable festive celebration at Sandmere. 🎄✨

Join us for a Yuletide Gathering at Sandmere Care Home to celebrate the season together🎄⛄️🎅

On Monday 15th December, enjoy festive treats, live entertainment and good company, while raising money for our nominated charity, Make-a-Wish Foundation, to help grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

There's no need to book - just drop in between between 2pm and 5pm. We look forward to welcoming you to share some festive cheer!

Thank you Kirsty for raising awareness for baby loss awareness week and giving our residents and staff a safe space to share their experiences and remember their loved ones who were gone too soon. 💙💕

John & Raymond enjoyed catching up on the latest news together while awaiting supper time at Sandmere yesterday afternoon.
