🚨 FOLKESTONE FRIDAY NIGHTS ARE COMING 🚨

It’s almost time for our very first Friday night league in Folkestone, kicking off on Friday 27th February — and we want you on court 🏐✨

We’re building something fun, welcoming, and buzzing, and we’re still looking for players to jump in and be part of it. Our Glow Staff are super friendly, mega approachable, and here to make sure everyone feels comfortable from the minute they arrive.

Got long nails? No stress — just grab some gloves.

Jewellery? Tape it up, you’re good to go.

Those little barriers that stopped you before? Gone.

This is feel-good netball.

A New thing we are doing at Glow Netball!❤️🤩

Each month we get to celebrate 3 special players
- player that has done the most steps for the month
- Umpires player of the month
- Co-Ordinators player of the month!

Let's celebrate our 3 January players 🥳🎉

- Well done to Natalie Mannell for walking a blinding 333,501 in January, this is equivalent to walking 148 Miles!! 🚶‍♀️👏💪

- Our umpires player this month goes to Nadia Johnson - Nadia has earned this recognition through her dedication showing consistent improvement in her game and being a wonderful support to her teammates. She is a true asset on the court, known for her calm and controlled presence,especially when the game intensity rises.
Not only is Nadia highly respected amongst her fellow netballers, but she also embodies the community spirit by frequently stepping in to help out other teams when they are short of players.
Fantastic work Nadia!👏🎉

- Our Co-Ordinators player of the month goes to Billie Clarke - This is well deserved for always being a brilliant captain for her team, encouraging them all every week and just turning up every week with a smile on her face no matter the outcome of the game! The energy you bring each week is an inspiration 💛

🏐 WE’RE LOOKING FOR A LEAGUE COORDINATOR! 🏐

Our Folkestone Netball League is launching on Friday 27th February and we’re on the lookout for an energetic, reliable, and passionate League Coordinator to join us!

📍 Location: Turner Free School, Folkestone

🕖 Time:

• Initially 7pm–8pm on Fridays

• With a view to expanding to 7pm–9pm within the first couple of months

💷 Pay: £15 per hour

📅 Paid monthly on the 1st of each month

💙 What we’re looking for:

Someone who is:

Passionate about women’s sport

Friendly, supportive, and approachable

Energetic and empathetic — you’ll be the welcoming face of the league

Happy working with teams and creating a positive atmosphere

📝 Role duties include:

Welcoming players on the evening

Ensuring all equipment is ready (clean bibs, balls, etc.)

Helping the league run smoothly week to week

💻 Requirements:

Own laptop or tablet

Comfortable with basic Google Docs

Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Docs or Canva is a bonus (but training will be provided)

Own transport preferred

⏳ Training & progression:

A 4-week paid training/probation period
After that, we’re looking to secure someone long-term, if it’s a good fit for both sides

Congratulations Sophie on being chosen as Co- Ordinators Player of The Month for January (Mondays Thanet).

Sophie is present every single week with a can do attitude and always offers to help other teams who are short on numbers. Not only that but she actively tries to coach people and bring them on and thats a brilliant thing to bring to the court.

This is Jess our Umpires Player of The Month in the Monday League. Jess really impressed the umpires with her strong presence on court. Not only does Jess absolutely own the Centre position, if needed she is so adaptable and able to play anywhere she is asked and this was the biggest reason for her being chosen :)

Thanet Netballers 🏐✨

Since Christmas, the uptake in netball with GLOW has been amazing – thank you all so much for the support! 💛

Our Wednesday and Thursday nights are now pretty much at capacity, with just a handful of spaces remaining.

We do still have availability on Mondays, and we currently have space for a full team.

If your team doesn’t currently play on a Monday and would love the option to add a Monday night league, please do reach out and pop us a message – we’d love to chat.

👋 Solo players are very welcome too!

We’ve started a waitlist for the next team, so if you’re keen to play but don’t yet have a team, let us know and we’ll get you added. As soon as we have the numbers, we’ll bring the new team straight in.
Really looking forward to welcoming some new faces to GLOW Thanet ✨

✨ FOLKESTONE GLOW NETBALL LEAGUE – OFFICIAL LAUNCH ✨

🏐 Ladies of Folkestone… the wait is over! 🏐

We are SO excited to announce that Glow Folkestone officially starts on

👉 Friday 27th February at 7:00pm
📍 Turner Free School, Folkestone
✔️ Loads of parking
✔️ Amazing venue
✔️ Indoor courts AND floodlit outdoor courts
When the weather allows, we’ll be outside enjoying the fresh air 🌙✨

If it rains? No problem — we head indoors.
We already have a growing waitlist, but there’s still space for more players

If you’ve been thinking about getting back into netball (or trying it for the first time), this is your sign.

✨ What makes Glow different?

We break a few traditional netball rules to make the sport more accessible:

🧤 Long nails? That’s fine — just wear suitable gloves

💎 Piercings you can’t remove? As long as they’re made safe, you’re welcome

🛡️ Safety is always our top priority

👩‍⚖️ We’ll have fully qualified England Netball umpires, and we’re also funding umpire training for those who want to get involved behind the whistle too!

💷 Membership: £25 per month

⏰ Sessions start 7pm–8pm, with plans to extend to 7pm–9pm as numbers grow
