We all have different reasons that drive certain behaviours. If you want to create behaviour change, it's worth considering your reason/motivation for pursuing it.

External motivation can be good for getting started but not for keeping going - it fades away or you get used to it (hedonic adaptation).

If you're looking to create long-term behaviour change, try to internalise your reasons for doing it.

'Because I want to' & 'because it's who I am' are way more powerful than 'because I have to' and long-term, will win every time
